Dude makes you laugh in Transformers, makes you uneasy in The Batman. Crazy range.

I’m probably repeating someone on here but John’s performance in the scene in the woods in Millers Crossing is perhaps one of the greatest scenes in movie history. 🙏🏻

One of my favourite actors. I thought he was great in Rounders, perhaps left out as it was a supporting role, but when a film needs a supporting role, he lifts it up over his head!

Ever since seeing Miller's Crossing it was apparent to me that John Turturro is a giant of an actor. I wouldn't have been able to articulate it back then, but his performance was just brilliant.

The Night Of is so good, Ahmed and Turturro are phenomenal and the late great Michael K. Williams is amazing in it, what a gem of a mini series!

For those who don't know the writers of The Night Of, whom John mentions in this, one of them wrote for The Wire and The Color of Money, the other wrote for The Irishman, Schindler's List, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Gangs of NY, Searching for Bobby Fischer, and Awakenings (really underrated De Niro film I had to watch in a Psych class). So they were indeed as talented and great as John says they were, even just going by their credentials.

Turturro goes 110% on every role he plays. So much energy. He makes every "small" part memorable. ❤

No one seems to remember his play in The Truce, as Holocaust survivor in the role of Primo Levi. He did terrifically well there. Surely one of the most underrated actors of our generations.

I remember watching a bumper on IFC that showed a clip of Miller's Crossing. It was the scene where Tom marches Bernie out into the woods and it ended right before he would have shot him. That one scene compelled me to go out and find that movie to finish that scene. Definitely one of my favorite movies, but hard for me to get friends interested in it.

I always enjoy his performance in Don’t mess with the Zohan . Him and Adam Sandler play off each other very well Mr.Deeds is another example.

“If you really love someone, you can’t keep saying to them hey I love you. It’s what you do.” I really like that. I hate it when I hear my buddy say I love you after every time him and his fiancé talk. Even when he’s just asking her what they should have for dinner it ends with him going “I love you”. It’s like he’s trying to get reassurance that she still loves him or something every hour.

There’s no one, in all my years of watching films, who has a voice more recognisable. I knew who he was in Batman before I even saw him. I didn’t know he was in so many of my childhood films because he changed his voice.

I wish they'd talked about the small film 5 corners. He was amazing as Heinz, the broken character who was violent & mentally ill, but heartbreaking at the same time because his mother was also nutty & was never present with him. The scene before he throws her out the window & demands that she tell him "who am I Ma?" is just gut wrenching.
