I think Jeff meant "free will" and not will power at the end there. And he's referring to dr. Robert Sapolsky who is a neuroscientist and anthropologist who mainly studies primates which doesn't apply to Woody Woodpecker type figures such as Conan.

As a young man Jeff did "The Last American Hero", a NASCAR movie. It is deeper than you could ever imagine a NASCAR movie to be. Ned Beatty, Valerie Perrine and some kid by the name of Gary Busey. Even if you are not a "car guy" it's really something (I'm a car guy).

Seems everybody has a favorite Jeff Bridges flick… I have two - Of course, Lebowski and then, Thunderbolt … I have always thought that he really nailed that part. His slow death scene … I hated George Kennedy for years after he knocked the pee-woddlin’-gee-whiz out of him. The way he got progressively worse. It felt like we were watching the poor kid slowly declining, fading … The novacane injection to his cheek before shooting that final Caddy scene made it seem like he was really starting to circle the drain, it felt so real. As a kid seeing that part got to me. Since then, I’ve always given ‘The Dude’ a mental tip of the cap whenever I see him. He’s really good at what he does. Mike Nelson would be proud.

holy hell this man looks good. AND only ONE WIFE. SINCE 1977. This gave me hope and a feeling you could only get when you watch twin peaks ona summer vacation (or better yet, summer break in school) with ice cold soda or something. The "will power" or perhaps "free will" or how some are born with some limited faculty due to physical limitations no matter how much the driver drives that crappy car kind of concession to this issue and everything is a bit tricky but I am also pleasantly surprised jeff, as an actor but a man first in his 70s is interested in these things.

They explain it at the end of the podcast, so they can monitor themselves and never get too far from the mic. It shouldn't be a problem if they always stay close to it, but a lot of people get caught on the conversation or relax too much and they forget about it.
