This guy was truly amazing. If he hadn't drown at thirty with only one completely finished album who knows what he could have accomplished. So glad you found him! I think this was 1994ish? Not sure. He was a master and lover of all kinds of musical styles and genres. If you had to peg him I think it would be more alternative? Maybe?

His vocal elasticity and range is amazing. He mastered his falsetto and vibrato that almost sounds like crying , instead of singing. Always with intention to bring out the genuine emotions of the song.

Jeff Buckley is another level, what a loss. If you like him, you have to listen to Conor mason from the band nothing but thieves. If you check out one of his best vocals videos - he is the modern day Jeff Buckley... It's like the dude is back!! They're heavily influenced by Jeff and you can hear it. They have a rockier edge, I Highly recommend them, Conor has that same magical ability to pour an entire feeling into a single word _ would love to hear what you thought of him, he's got to be the best male voice out there ATM, you will know what I mean when you hear him!

Jeff Buckley is one of those artists EVERYONE knows, but they don’t realize they know him... He’s mostly known for his version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”. Everyone has heard this but don’t realize or know that it’s Jeff Buckley: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHraYZitetiBftU He died in 1997. He was 30.
