Politics is by nature the imposition of morality, and God commands moral righteousness; and He commands all of creation to act in obedience to His law. If you believe that Jesus is King, then “engaging in politics” is a moral obligation.

Matt 22:21; John 18:36; Rom 13:1ff; 2Cor 10:3-4; Heb 11:13; 1Pet 2:11ff, etc. Again, where in the New Covenant do we have examples of the saints desiring to take over the Roman political system? When did Peter lobby the Roman Senate to end slavery? Or Paul lead an insurrection to stop the state worship of the emperor? The early church was asked by Israeli nationalists to help them fight their various wars against Rome in the 1st and 2nd centuries. The church refused. Why? Because they knew Christ's Kingdom is not of this world.

"the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints" which you refer to as mormons. not any of yours. consider yourself schooled. the church of god in the time of the prophets, was built on the foundation of the prophets, i. e. upon those doctrines and doctrinal truths deliver'd by them. the church of god under the new testament, is built not only on the foundation of the prophets, but of the apostles, Rev. 21:14. this is precisely what paul affirms in ephesians 2:20 where he says that the church is “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, christ jesus himself being the cornerstone” (cf. rev. 21:14; also 1cor. 3:10-11 in context). the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints is the ONLY church today built on a foundation of apostles and prophets. anti-mormons are teaching a false gospel (just like all protestants). for that matter, catholics as well.

I’m really sorry but you believe in the wrong gospel. I was also LDS but the truth has finally set me free. Jesus is the only way to salvation. The Book of Mormon is contradictory to the word of God which is the Bible. I was also so blinded while in the church. I was so arrogant and went solely on my feelings of the church being true. Unequal weights and measures are an abomination to God [Proverbs 20:10] therefore someone experiencing the death penalty or, maybe even any penalty, be it a mother who murders her pre-born child or anyone else, without there having been two or more eyewitnesses to the event [Deut.19:15] and without the witnesses first and the local community second executing the appropriate punishment [Deut.17:7]...well, that's not God's Way; we must obey all of His Law(s). @@markrademaker5875 I think if we look at the law as a whole, using Deuteronomy 13:12-18 as written for those " you have heard have followed other gods" It must be searched out thoroughly. Will that be done with actual eyewitnesses or seeing the people do so in their daily lives, or maybe the evidence of children sacrificed to idols? Let's keep in mind the animal goring someone to death as well (Exodus 21). Would there have to be eyewitnesses of said goring to hold a man whos animal was known to gore, in order to put him to death along with the animal? I think that evidence is a witness.

@@markrademaker5875 A couple of questions to think about. 1. Was it necessary for those Israelites to have only eyewitness accounts to come to the conclusion of guilt concerning idolaters? 2. Were those owners of animals who had a history of goring, but the owner did not pen it up, and the only witness to testify was the one who was previously gored, how could there be account of the previous crime? Written documentation? There is evidence that acts as witness. Hence my first set of questions. The mother did seek out the services, resulting in either a dead child from surgical murder, or a dead child with the abortion pill traces in it's body.
