I understand that this aircraft is now owned by Kermit Weeks Fantasy of Flight Museum in Florida .Kermit had flown the aircraft a couple of times some years ago , currently It has been undergoing major inspections and flutter testing to insure the structural integrity and airworthiness of the aircraft to assure flight safety prior to starting any flight operations .

In the first 16 seconds of this video, it appears that Bill Turner's replica has been discounted?

True - Around 1979, Bill Turner brought (trucked) his aircraft to Springfield Mass to celebrate the 50th anniversary ot the Springfield airport (where the GB's were born). Just weeks before, the aircraft was damaged during a landing incident but was repaired with the help of his local EAA chapters. Our CAP squadron sat with the aircraft 24 hrs a day for a week. I got to meet a bunch of "old timers" that had either seen or worked on the originals, they were all impressed with Bill's aircraft.

Flight controls made of wood?

Wood is strong for it's weight. Also the structure of wood doesn't fatigue like aluminum or steel.
