Was anyone else at the 1996 Steel City National? I spoke to Jeremy Albrecht at Metlife SX this year if he remembered the 96 Steel City National....he went from gloomy looking to big smile! ;) To this day it's still the most epic race I've ever been too! That fight down to the last moto of the season and I was there in person to witness it! I still remember Fro was chillin' with the fans signing Autographs while McGrath was in hiding. I still have my Jeff Emig autograph (Jersey) from the 96 Steel City race and Unadilla (poster, framed on the wall in the room I'm in right now) same year! I was also at Broome Tioga.....but Steel City was a frenzy! I'm sure Emig and crew might be interested in seeing my pics and video from those days... ;) But...but...why is Fro on a Husky? Thought he was a Kawie guy still?
@e5m9565 жыл бұрын
Not to mention it was Ricky Carmichaels first pro race....he didn't do super great and I didn't think much of him then the following season he really came out swinging! Yea I also got to witness RCs first pro race! And I also got to see him on the 250 first at the Kawasaki Race Of Champions before the following years 250 national debut! (Still have home video of that where he was whipping it over the staircase and putting his rear tire right in front of the face of the flagger standing at the top). Side story- my friend jumped the fence to get his autograph for me while he was sitting on the starting gate of his first 250 race!
