Very well done video. I was hoping it would have a better ending but those were very dangerous days in open wheel racing. Took lots of courage and skill to drive them, and even then sometimes bad luck would just catch up, just like it did this young man.

A great man in the sport he loved so much and gave so much to, the speed cars of the day were very devoid of safety aspects, not a relation of mine but a proud sharer of the name of a great sportsman.

Yeah I was there too, almost 15 yo. That still with Jeff in the offy immediately followed by the empty car brought tears to my eyes after all these years, I thought I was out of tears. Some a young fella shouldn't have seen. But this needs to be seen. Thanks

I was there that day as a 11 year old , and although the memories getting foggy , I do remember it .
