Hafley you did such a great job adjusting vs the vikings in the second half despite the defense being on the field a lot more than they shouldve all game.. u gonna get us right and elevate this defense to top 5 by the time we in the post season
@raybrown2771Ай бұрын
Hey, I like what Hafley is doing too but you do realize it was his, “play coverage” game plan that helped them get down 28 to zip to start with, right? Why give Darnold all day when your secondary is depleted?
@mattwilliams3104Ай бұрын
Agreed but I thought they adjusted too late
@phojes74Ай бұрын
I trust Haf will do everything in his power to make this a top 10 defense. It's only been 4 weeks FFS. It's going to evolve as they all get more familiar with each other and the system. Patience is becoming a lost art these days. No doubt Haf is the man to lead this D.
@raybrown2771Ай бұрын
@@phojes74 R Gary is MIA and P Smith is old. The pass rush is big disappointment so far. When they blitz it's not getting home and DBs are left hung out to dry.

Love Hadley’s answers. They’re very detailed and upbeat.
@gouda2872Ай бұрын
I specifically enjoyed how he answered about Eric Stokes getting beat on a deep crosser. "He could have covered better, but we could have blitzed better too." Paraphrasing but that entire answer shows me and the team that it's a unit approach. If we're going to play man, then the pass rush HAS to get home. He's defending his player while also addressing both the issues. Great answer.

Coach LeFleur struck gold with Jeff Hafley. I remember being disappointed when Jim Leonhard turned down the Packers to coach our D. I wondered if LaFleur had enough pull/reputation to bring in the best coaches if a college assistant like Leonhard would turn us down. Enter Jeff Hafley. He comes across as everything we'd want in a defensive coach - sharp, upbeat, transparent, confident, yet humble. I absolutely loved the adjustments at half time. It spoke volumes vs last year. I look forward to seeing what he can mold throughout the course of the season. Congrats to Coach LeFleur on what looks to be a transformational hire. Go Pack Go!

Yes, the defense was terrible in the first half against the Vikings, but the offense was significantly worse. The offense couldn't maintain possession or complete a drive, forcing the defense to do more than they should have to do. Second half adjustments helped even though it ultimately wasn't enough

So far I like hafley, that being said we weren't a touchdown away from wining that game we were one NON missed field goal from wining the game straight up. Go Pack Go
@Javen2600Ай бұрын
We were more than a touchdown away from winning that game. We needed our punter to give us momentum to get a chance to fight back. Minus that muffed punt how do you envision that game going deep into the 3rd quarter 28-0. That missed punt gave us life that we didn't grab and seek ourselves

Haf knows ball, just listen to him talk. He’s explaining everything with clarity, confidence and makes it easy for all us that don’t know ball like that understand. Think about the last few DCs and how they spoke at the podium 😝

I remember when Clay Matthews on the very first play of a playoff game against the Eagles the year we won the Super Bowl the very first play was a linebacker blitz, and he came in so quick and threw Vic to the ground. That’s what I’m expecting to see you shouldn’t have a laid-back approach in the very beginning of the game that’s when you were supposed to be doing all the damage, you need to set the tone right off the bat
