The line up of the Jeff Healey Blues Band is guitar- Jeff Healey, guitar- Dan Noordermeer, keyboards- Dave Murphy, drums- Al" baby" Webster and bass- Alec Fraser with Randy Bachman Formerly of The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive sitting in with some great guitar playing on While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
There was a big tribute night planned for Jeff`s family at the Sound Academy in Toronto, Canada on May 3rd,2008 and The Jeff Healey Blues Band backed up an assortment of guests that were friends of one of the greatest musicians ever.The line-up was Ian Gillan, Jack Bruce, Randy Bachman, David Wilcox, Colin James, Matt Minglewood, Wild T Tony Springer, Blue Rodeo, Danny Marks, Jimmy Bowskill, Alan Frew, Alanna Miles and The Jeff Healey Alumni Band. Jeff Healey was one of the great musicians. He not only played incredible guitar, right up there with Clapton, and Knoffler, he loved rock n roll as a soul music. And he was equally good and and fond of blues; old, old, blues and old old jazz. He did a show on CBC called " My Kind of Jazz" which was just wonderful using all his own collection of 78s. What a guy, Lord how we miss the good ones. Hugh
