Jeff's understanding of harmony and the weaving of mind-bending riffs and insane solo passages within those progressions, while keeping everything fresh and super metal is unlike anything I've heard... Amazing!

I seriously can't stop listening to this, it really shows how much Jason Becker influenced him, the whole thing is oozing Becker, and I LOVE that! Definitely one of the best modern day shredders right here! /,,/

Loomis is a slightly better player than both Becker and Friedman. Not an easy feat, a modern legend.
@liamace11073 жыл бұрын
@@sackson2025 Umm.... better than Friedman sure, better than Becker? 1. you can't even judge that kinda thing cause Becker can't play anymore and 2. No. Just no, Becker is up with Shawn Lane for being a man that sold his soul to the devil. If Becker was still playing today Loomis wouldn't stand a chance in hell of comparing. Becker was literally a pillar of the shred scene, I've seen Loomis perform several times and he's always a bit sloppy. Jason has NEVER EVER EVER had a sloppy performance. Consider me triggered lol, don't compare people to Becker. Becker was a literal god, Loomis is just one of the greatest guitarists alive. Nothing compared to Becker's godhood status.
@MrNeosantana3 жыл бұрын

His string skipping at 4:25 (for instance) is amazing, just like Paul Gilbert. Jeff must have some of the best technique that I've ever seen (similar to John Petrucci and aforementioned Mr Gilbert). Better song writer than the average guitar masturbator as well (and believe me, I've listened to a lot of them). Extremely impressive!

very nice dude, the c-7 is a really great guitar. Ive played one before, and if you want that heavier tone you are better off going dimarzio, the EMG's are in loomis style, really harmonious. I'd recommend seymour's myself, maybe even a dimarzio for the neck pickup

EXCELLENT DESCRIPTION!
@benniebees12 жыл бұрын
yes it's practically zero .. because the guitar is 26.5 inch scale (has longer neck) the strings are forced to be tighter to reach the same target frequency. if the strings are tighter then they move less. this allows you to get a lower action without the fret buzz that you would get on normal scale guitars due to the wider movement of the string's vibration
