It is funny larry had a bad pass because of an alternator belt that automatically counted as a 20 sec pass to lose dragweek but he set a 6.16 world record and now 5.95. Jeff lutz vehicle is not in the same class with larry larson. Just because someone wins dragweek CLEARLY does not make them faster. Another example Andy Frost's world record street Car from over a year ago is still faster than jeff lutz. Oh wait he didn't win drag week Andy who.

Shake down runs are never set on kill, just enough that if something is going shake loose it'll do so without putting anyone else in jeopardy , to make sure it runs straight with the front hoops in the air. Also for Jeff to get a feel for the car.

I understand where your coming from, its sad to seen certain cars be turned into something they were not meant the be, (for ex. low rider trucks....i just can't stand them) but like all car lovers its not just how much power you make or how fast you go, its what you do it in that matters, and at then end of the day like you said, this one is still one bad ass car

Atleast it is still a street able car, and not only that, it's one of the fastest street cars ever. He took this beauty, and turned it into a beast, sure, but it is a world class beast at that. And honestly, this is one '57 bel air. Imagine how many more '57's are in junk yards, or were torn up for scrap metal.
