This is real music, Jeff is a normal guy and he probably doesn't know how good he really is, never big headed , he's never changed his accent in interviews, no fancy clothes on stage nothing just simple music brilliance, every single person is playing for real always. Plus 5 decades the test of time proves that. Really on a different level. Plus he comes from my part of the world. Top band and wrote songs that will be still played a hundred years from now because they are brilliant. Simple as that........

Jeff Lynne has always been able to blend classical instruments and arrangements with amazing rock arrangements. I think his most incredible ability has been to select and surround himself with amazing musicians. All of his projects, from original ELO, to Traveling Wllburys, to later live performances like this one, have demonstrated his ability to do this.When you can put together an orchestra of this size, and the result is a live recording like this one - that's just incredible! And Jeff Lynne has never craved the limelight. He just makes amazing music. It must be fun to be Jeff! It certainly is fun to listen to his work.

I just saw them in Toronto July 18 2019 ( Best Concert of my life) All the reviews agree they are the best live act in the world and Jeff Lynne is a Music Genius. They are in the Rock Hall of Fame. Lynne is on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and Birmingham Walk OF Fame. Jeff Lynne’s ELO won the Best Classic Rock Band plus Lynne won the best Song Writer award ( ASCAP ) 2019 for his fantastic contribution over the years. The Legends in the Music Industry call Jeff Lynne the best overall Musician ever and a Producer Extraordinaire. And don't forget, he was in the Super Group of all the Groups the Traveling Wilburys with George Harrison, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison and Bob Dylan... Long live Jeff Lynne’s ELO!

I cried when I went saw Jeff. I thought I would die without ever seeing him perform. After all it was 30+ years and no sign of a tour. Again I wept like a baby at his concert. And he sounded just like he does on the radio. No phoney computer voice correcting tricks. No bullshit. Just music. It was a spiritual movement for me. I took my daughter to the Arena when Jeff came back home to Birmingham in October 18. We stood 10 feet from him and danced all night. As fellow Brummies it was good to have him home where it all started. I've seen all the lineups live since the 70s and Jeff has kept the magic going. I'm proud to say that ELO have been the soundtrack of my life and when the time comes, I'll probably go out on "one summer dream", why not.

Love how the different instruments independently & collectively hold each piece of music up. Creating a wonderful collection of nooks and space between notes( and competing notes) So easy to get lost in the numerous deep musical streams( why this and ELO's music stands against time) A masterful written piece of music

I really think In years to come , when rock music is assessed and analysed in greater detail , that people will really appreciate the genius of Jeff lynnes musical legacy , and the critics of the time will be dismissed for their inability to appreciate how good he was. But who remembers critics anyway ? Great music stands the test of time , on its own merits.
