Chops are always great with this guy, but when I hear that voice on the radio I instantly know it's Jeff. A truly unique Canadian talent. If you ever get a chance to see him perform live (especially with his Tea Party friends), make the effort ..... you won't be disappointed.

Amazing!! as a teenager in the 90's I was awestruck of the amazing sounds he was creating with a guitar. All a mystery back then, but over the years I learned a few tunings he used. Jeff is a truly inspirational artist, and those who have seen him perform live and listened to his(Tea Party's) albums over and over through the years continue to be inspired by his music!

Spanky Stone - right there with you! This is a Master Lesson by a seriously underrated Canadian artist - make no mistake! This series of videos has completely changed my approach and feeling about my guitars! I saw them in the Grand in Kingston - 750 seats and was blown away! Jeff - you are brilliant. Guitar tuner anyone :-)

I'm a huge fan of the Tea Party and of Jeff Martin. I had heard he's a big Jimmy Page/Zeppelin fan. This sort of confirms that doesn't it?

The song is called "The Messenger". It's a Daniel Lanois cover and can be found on The Tea Party album, TRIPtych.

Great musician..though I'm suprised he didn't mention Davy Graham who invented DADGAD in 1961.
@buddydudeguy6184 жыл бұрын
That would mean irish/folk was invented in 1961 too. Kinda...no.
@evanstephen3002 жыл бұрын
@@buddydudeguy618 Perhaps invented is not the right word, maybe stimulated a greater awareness/popularity

You would think a professional guitar play would know that you should never just tune down to a key, you always go below the desired key and then tune up to it...
