The final 3 in the last two seasons were almost identical. 1 strategic guy who's the winner, 1 "genuine likeable" guy who didn't do enough to get votes and 1 crazy/neurotic/emotional/gaslighted female goat. I sense a pattern, a formula, and I hope they change it up through a different finale route.

I don't know why Jeff continues to think Final 3 "makes it a little more complicated." *The* *stats* *F3* *(n=24)* *VS.* *F2* *(n=15):* *All three finalists at FTC received at least one vote 21% of the time (n=5) VS. Both finalists at FTC received at least one vote 93% of the time (n=14). *17% of F3 were decided by one vote (n=4) VS. 33% of F2 were decided by one vote (n=5). *17% of F3 were unanimous votes (n=4) VS. 7% of F2 were unanimous (n=1). *Out of all F3 seasons, 58% of the time the runner-up gets two or less votes (0 votes: n=4; 1 vote: n=4; 2 votes: n=7). This occurs during a period where the jury is getting larger and larger (average jury size of F3 seasons: 8.9). *Out of all F2 seasons, 60% of the time the runner-up gets two or less votes (0 votes: n=1; 1 vote: n=5; 2 votes; n=3). BUT this occurs with an average jury size of 7.2, in which a 5-2 vote is much more "stackable" and dramatic for Jeff/production (i.e., good for TV) than is a 7-2 vote that would be more common in a F3 FTC. So, F2 is arguably more dramatic/complicated as a F3 (certainly much less likely to be unanimous, and much more likely to be decided by one vote). In addition, jury inflation is killing the drama of FTC.

As much as I admire the statistics, there is a big problem with it. In prior seasons of Survivor the jury would vote based on whatever craziness they decided. Now people are respecting more and more other's games. So, I'm not sure if F2 is actually better than F3 based on these numbers.

i liked Ben too, i don't know why people didn't like his season that much. When they decided to vote him off and by watching them cornered him and not talking him, it really broke his heart, i still remember, near the water fountain and this was where he entered "war" mode.

Ben is a favorite of mine. Given that this is the second time I have heard Jeff single him out (Jeff was also asked who would be on his Mt. Rushmore list of Survivor players and he listed Ben) tells me that either Ben has done something extraordinary this season, or that he and Mark Burnett have a future endeavor which includes him. As a personal message to Ben....thank you, for your service and continued inspiration for others who have served. I am super excited to see how W@W pans out.

I think they just saw him become an underdog who was a target every Tribal Council and decided it would be a great arc if he made it to the end -- hence all the magical advantages that kept coming up that favored Ben exclusively.

But in the sesaon we just finished, we have a player named Michelle who's like a new Parvati except she played a low-key quiet game." So it didn't explicitly say she'd win but considering she was absent from the edit at that point, it was obvious she'd have a big impact on the game in some way.

And the season Rob won, he did so by using his celebrity as a past "Survivor" player to strong-arm everyone into 1) not talking to each other and 2) to report anytime someone suggested voting him out, or else they'd be punished. And the contestants were too star-struck/incompetent that season to counter him. It didn't even feel like a season of "Survivor."
