Thank you for the videos. I think these videos are great for patients, family members, and healthcare professionals such as nurses. As an ex oncology nurse, I appreciate the insight from your personal experience. I have walked the journey with one friend who had cancer And I am now walking with another friend of mine who has head and neck cancer and is at the beginning of this process. It is completely different than my experience as the nurse providing the treatments. You’ve given me great insight, thank you. I’m praying for you. Nurse Susan, RN

Susan Mc - WOW! Thank you, so much! I've heard from many survivors and even some caregivers, but you're the first medical professional I can remember responding. What you described is EXACTLY what I'm trying to accomplish with these videos. If what I'm doing makes this experience easier for ANYONE else, this won't have been in vain. Thank you, again!

Thanks for the encouraging message, Jeff. Btw: love the Qbert background on the video. Very retro, my friend! 😁

ppsayl123 I had forgotten all about Qbert! I just bought this background because I thought it was cool and it matched my LetsKillFRED.com logo and colors. I'll think of this every time I see it now. Thanks! 🙂

Hi brother does throat cancer cuases this pvcs and palpitations
@overcomingjeff Жыл бұрын
Hello, Kunal and thanks for the question. No, the cancer did not cause these conditions. Some combination of the radiation and chemotherapy may have caused them, or may have made minor pre-existing conditions more significant, to the point that they require medication to control. But the cancer did not cause my heart issues. Be well!

Hi Jeff! Who can decide about your treatment ? Can you make a choice ? Example I want to undergo immunotherapy instead of radiation but I don't know if my oncologist would allow it ? .....
@overcomingjeff5 жыл бұрын
You have the final say on what treatment you will accept. But I would STRONGLY encourage you to seek the advice of head and neck cancer specialists at an academic medical center and to follow their advice. They treat this stuff every day. Unlike most community cancer center oncologists, they're the experts in this field. Trust them.

what stage were you initiallly?
@overcomingjeff5 жыл бұрын
Originally, they said stage 4. But the guidelines had changed in January before I was diagnosed in March. So, technically, there IS no stage 4 for HPV16+ Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the head and neck with no tobacco use and no heavy alcohol consumption. So, I ended up at T3 N1 M0 (tumor stage 3, one lymph node involved, no metastasis). #LetsKillFRED
