The best present I ever gave myself was starting to learn to play the saxophone when I was 48. It has helped me through some tough times. It has also provided me with a lot of fun and happiness. Likely, although it might have been accidental/incidental. Then, as now, languages were always cross-pollinating and mutating, especially in England, where the educated classes typically spoke or understood at least 3 languages (English, French, and Latin). Being in NW Europe, there was also plenty of interchange and familiarity with Vlaamsch and other Deutsch.
@Misses-Hippy4 жыл бұрын
@@SRV2013 FYI: Historically, phonetics trumps orthographys many people did not write. There are 80 recorded ways to spell Shakespeare, including 'Shappere' and 'Shaxberd'. The bard himself used many, Willm Shakp' and 'Willm Shakspere are only two'.
@Misses-Hippy4 жыл бұрын
@@ubomninomen7765 I probably should have Googled it: Wiki.: "Leir was a legendary king of the Britons whose story was recounted by Geoffrey of Monmouth in his pseudohistorical 12th-century History of the Kings of Britain. ... The story was modified and retold by William Shakespeare in his Jacobean tragedy King Lear." So "King Empty" is probably just a happy coincidence.

I have always loved JT because has a such a great, weird, unique perceptive view that I don't always understand but...I wanna hear all about it.
