Getting Closer was such a shock to Carats. This was their first time with a concept as dark as this and it was such a change from their usual bright, colorful concepts. It also really showcased a different style of choreo for them. They killed it and I'm so happy they stuck with the darker concepts (with Fear) while still also doing the more upbeat, brighter concepts (like Snap Shoot, the bside they promoted with Fear)
@sheilavaidy4 жыл бұрын

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS REACTION VIDEO I'VE NEVER LAUGHED SO MUCH THE PAST FEW DAYS DJSJXKSKDD PUSH-UPS AS A DANCE HAHAHAHA i think it's also very timely that you mentioned hoshi acting as the main lead choreographer because some people think we, "carats", give him too much credit for saying he works on seventeen's choreography when it's like you said, he works with people as a lead choreographer for seventeen's dance moves so essentially there will be parts that are choreod by actual choreographers and some parts choreod by hoshi, himself. also to answer some of your questions during the video, it's actually wonwoo and seungkwan lifting vernon up during vernon's part. and many people confuse wonwoo and dk's face because of their similar face structures, at first. woozi is also pronounced as ooji :> fans even call him this as an endearment! YOU'RE REALLY DOING AMAZING WITH NAMES THOUGH SO KUDOS you got plenty of them correct in the latter half of the video :> also i would just like to mention that this choreography actually won them Best Performance in MAMA 2018 when they first released it during december of that year and i think you'll like that live performance a lot
@AstraRoseYT4 жыл бұрын
우지/Uji is just the Korean pronunciation of the name Woozi as the Korean language does not use the ‘w’ or ‘z’ sound, the thing about it standing for our Jihoon was just an added meaning by carats which it’s now another nickname for him...doesn’t make it any less cute though (I had to ask my Korean friend for a true explanation of what was going on with his name 😐)

Thanks for the reaction Jeff! I know we're all speechless while watching SEVENTEEN. They are one of the best performers in Kpop! In fact, they received MAMA Best Dance Performance (Boy Group) 2 years in a row for Don't Wanna Cry and Oh My! After Hit, Fear and Getting Closer, which are dark concepts, I suggest Aju Nice for a change! SEVENTEEN themselves said it was in their top 5 most important singles and to Vernon "it's the song that projects the members’ characteristics and chemistry the most”. It's a summer bop and is really well-known among South Korea's general public. A lot of footwork, reference to Michael Jackson's style and the use of props (suspenders). Prepare to be amazed by SEVENTEEN's energy in this song, even the dance practice is super fun! Fun fact: the song's ending lyrics are " Today was very enjoyable . I want to have the next date soon too. Time flies by when I take you home. See you tomorrow at the same time" And they use it in their concert as the "neverending encore" which can last up to more than 20 minutes. It's like a promise that they will see us carats again soon. Now who would want to go home after that!

They use sign language! I recommend you search up the KSL for “Promise” and for “Thanks.” :) 2. In the prechorus, with the sign language, they also spell out “THX” using their formations. I recommend you watch for this. Plus the formation after the first chorus, the details are beautiful. I hope he will react to Thanks soon lol :)

The comeback before this one was OH MY!. One of the brightest SVT has done, and they performed THIS for the first time and also practically dropped at the same time in the MAMA 2018. Imagine the shock. It's also SVT's hardest fanchant to date (funfact, usually SVT's fanchants are chanted with their stage names, but GETTING CLOSER's fanchant is a full name fanchant, older to youngest, THEN BACKWARDS. This comeback was truly nuts.)

What I appreciate about Seventeen's dancing as a group is that no one sticks out. In a lot of Kpop groups, there are usually one or two members who stick out from either dancing in their own style, throwing in extra moves, or just overall lacking in skills which just makes the entire visual of the overall performance a bit off. With Seventeen, none of the members come off as doing too much nor are any of them lacking. It's quite a sight to see and I take joy in others are appreciate their dancing as well 🙂
@Mysticalsnow96784 жыл бұрын
Fun fact: when hoshi was choreographing the song, hoshi said that he knew it would be a harder choreo, but he trusted the members and had no doubt that they could do it well and they did perfectly ❤️ just some appreciation for hoshi’s love of his team

Woozi's stage name is (우지) which sounds like "oo-ji" but when there is the 우 letter (oo) at the beginning or ending of a name it's given a "W" so in english you get Woozi instead of (ooji - korean pronunciation ). It's hard to explain lol but like jungwoo in english is pronounced jung-woo, jungwoo in korean is like jeong-u. Koreans dont use the defined 'W' sound in their alphabet. Omooo im so happy that your video pops up on my feed and got to watch your reaction to them. It's my first time to saw a reactor with so much dedication to know their names and having detailed comments while watching SVT's creation. Please do watch 'GOOD TO ME' choreography even tho it doesnt have a mv coz it is a side track. They dance so well in it. Also the 'HAPPY ENDING' and 'CALL CALL CALL', both of those songs were japanese. Thank you!
