@smallsnowball26894 жыл бұрын
The main part of the song that you mentioned was actually consisted of Woozi, DK, and Seungkwan. You were right the first time haha. Just remember Woozi has a very light voice when he sings high notes, kinda feminine, not even in falsetto. Hoshi's voice is raspier and stronger. The first trio can be considered the powerhouse of seventeen bc of their vocal skills. You'll know when you react to "Home". *Point dances and choreo explanations:* 3:57 whenever they touch their arms with their hands, that means "thanks" but they make it look more graceful for the choreo. It repeats in the second verse. And in the same segment, every time they pop up while doing the "thanks", they form T H X consecutively and you can see it from above if you are at their concerts or so. 5:42 they form the flowers and in the lyrics they talk about something along the line of "choosing their words", and here they fail to pick the petals (words) which means they don't know what to say. 8:12 every time they hook their pinkies together, it means "promise". They do it throughout the whole choreo when the chorus comes, at the beginning and at the end when they sit. If you notice, the choreo also starts and ends in the same way, where they sit with their pinkies hooked. *Fun fact:* During that time, almost everyone was so busy that Woozi wrote the song himself (even the raps as the hip hop line was too busy to write their own raps), you can find his guide version of "thanks" on youtube. They also put a song called "Run to You" which he wrote bc he was bored in the same album, they also showed the guide ver in the same day as "thanks", it's a vocal only song but it's really good so I suggest checking it out when you're free. For choreo, they actually filmed the mv with an incomplete choreo, it was different from the final ver you see in the rehearsal. Hoshi was actually unsatisfied with it, that he couldn't make a proper choreo.

Sign Language Parts: 3:57 the motion they do with their hands is the sign language for “thanks” 6:32 the formation that they did from an upward view is suppose to look like “T H X” 9:48 at the end of the dance, they make a sign language with their hands which means “promise” Thank you for reacting to seventeen! the sign language of thanks in korean also happened at 6:33 and fun fact, about the "gomapta" that they repeat 3 times.. and the formation for each gomapta is in a form of T, H and X which mean Thanks.. and also this song is about how they show their gratitude for their fans.. like how thankful they are when we accept them for who they are..and the scene from the video where they meet up for discussing about the song, the scene in recording room, the scene in the practice room and also the scene in makeup room.. all of that scenes shows how they work together to create a songs.. all of the scenes was the usual scene that happen between them..on how they creat their own song, create their own dance and everything...yeah thats all the rant from me😂😂 and thank you again for having seventeen💞💞 i cannot wait for more seventeen video in future😌😌 thank you so much again🥰🥰

“I did not understand a single word but I understand the emotion in the song” that’s the power of kpop, weather you know what the song is about or not, weather you know the lyrics of the song or not, weather you know the story behind the song or not, you feel it. It just has a strong feel. The dances are also amazing. This is what actually got me into kpop. I was a six year old kid who was abused and had no where to go. I listened to Big Bang’s haru haru and I fell into that hole. Kpop is now my escape. I learned happiness through kpop. I’m so glad that I’m a part of this family and I’m so happy to be called a kpop stan. Those idols are amazing and I hope they know that.

This song was made for Carats to say thanks. In the MV showed that they’re writing music & producing it and putting makeup on. Also in the MV, there’s different choreography. They changed it bc someone told them that one of the moves looked like they going “Super Saiyan” so they changed it. They chose Jun to do the solo dance bc he looked cool the most doing it. The part where DK says “Thank You” repeatedly they do the sign language for Thanks. Also at the end they do sign language for Promise. (Also u were right with the other sign language for promise). They also do a formation which u can only see from aerial view when they make the formation that spells T-H-X. 😊

There are many amazing dancers in the K-Pop industry, but what makes me really proud of Seventeen is that they are BY FAR the group with the most lyrical choreography. My appreciation for the performance always increases tenfold after I understand what they sing and dance about. I think it is also a perk of being a self-producing group; I bet Hoshi starts "sketching" the choreography as soon as Woozi lets him hear a song's demo, instead of brainstorming from scratch with the choreography team.

Seventeen actually dedicated this song to carats. Woozi said that this song was actually supposed to be named something else, but after deliberation, they decided that ‘Thanks’ was enough. They wanted to express their pure and genuine thankfulness to carats for being by their side after all this time, and for supporting them. This song wasn’t just an ‘I love you’ it was a pure, unadulterated ‘Thank you’ You should seriously check out the lyrics, they’re really beautiful and so full of meaning, and they really hits carats’ hearts.

If you want to dive deeper into Seventeen and know them better individually, watching "Going Seventeen" episodes might help. I've laughed extremely hard with a bunch of them! 😅

thanks for reacting!! it's cool how you made the reference to the hs dance team competitions, bc hoshi formed his own dance team in hs and performed competitively (won competition(s?) and got casted while competing I think), and then he also likes watching dance competition videos too as inspiration! And since this song is called thanks (for us fans) many of those set locations are showing where they usually practice or come up with ideas to create everything for us (makeup room,dancing rooms, recording rooms etc.)
