I’m just a simple Aussie boy who come across this band about 20 years ago. Changed my life forever. And then... They came out to Australia a few years ago and I got to see them live. WOW. Thank you so very much for the best few hours of my life. Such gorgeous music. This is my wedding music, funeral music, birthday music, any damn occasion music. Whiskey music right now.

Pure magic. This is, hands down, the best recording of this song. This is why I love Dave Matthews. Tim Reynold is an amazing guitarist. You just can't top this combination, folks. ♡

Dave Matthews probably has one of the smoothest and nicest voices that I have ever heard. I'm not particularly a fan of acoustic music, especially songs based around love, but his voice continues to lure me in :~)

11 years ago we made plans to change the world while the world was changing us. It was all so passionate and painful. A young love that story books are made of. Sometimes I catch myself wishing you would get ahold of me. Even after all this time. You played this song for me once and I'll never forget the feeling of being so happy with you. I'm still here. I'll always be here. Wishing you were here with me too. Even if just for tonight.

i know. its just my opinion that 99.9% of dave's songs are genius and expertly written pieces of art. and he's written alot of them. thats what puts him on top for me.
@kentwpiano12 жыл бұрын
This is one of the best songs ever written. It's so brilliantly and beautifully written that it's just heartbreaking when you think about the lyrics. Remember we used to dance everyone wanted to be you and me I want to be to We used to laugh under the covers maybe not so often now the way I used to laugh with you was loud and hard It disgusts me that people Ke$ha and Katy Perry get so hugely popular when all of their songs put together don't have half the emotion Dave poured into this song

perpetual tangent He's had to have made his peace with the history by now. Plus, Julia Grey never deserved him anyway. His wife is lucky. When you talk about something that hurts you as much as he does, you get kinda "numb" and it doesn't hurt you as much as it did before. Julia Grey was a part of his life, and he wrote BEAUTIFUL songs about his love for her, but he moved on, as we all do

Sometimes there is music that can just make you feel speechless. There is so much power in it that it takes over the body, it's enlightenment, Music can be a spirituality,the best highs feelings and memories I've ever felt in life come from music. To me, real meaningful music is a spirit and when you feel it without looking for it, that's when you know a song is powerful. This song is enlightenment, this song is remorse, this song is incredible. Music is my religion and Dave Matthews is a Saint.

Dave's type of songs are a lost art. There aren't many artists that can pour this much emotion into songs. Especially with the type of songs that are being made today.

I first heard this song a couple of years ago, and immediately took a liking to it. This was before I had ever experienced heartbreak, and now after a two year relationship with my ex-girlfriend I can now truly relate to the feeling of this song. It's very comforting, sad, emotional, but positive... all in one. Love is all of those things.. and I can honestly say, Dave Matthews, you helped me get through it all. Thank you.
