I really like the idea of this camera. I work in tech and I'm constantly staring at a computer monitor or at my phone (like most of us do these days). I take a few hiking trips a year and I really liked the idea of a digital camera without a screen and being able to just stick my phone in my backpack not not take it out until I need it. I've had this camera for a few days now and it works pretty well for the price. That said I understand the limitations of it, because of the price. I tried to find something similar with a better sensor and lens but this seems to be the only product on market. I hope in the future, they'll consider making a version that costs a little more with better components. Outdoors with good lighting, this thing works great. Indoors though photos can come out blurry if you aren't very careful. I suppose I should try using the flash a bit more indoors.

There are alternatives for screen-less cameras. Buy an used DSLR and keep the screen at the back off except for going into the settings. You can just use the optical viewfinder and use them like 35mm SLRs. The quality of the shots will also be leaps and bounds above this. The main issue is size, and resisting the temptation to look at your shots on the fly. Even though I have a modern mirrorless camera, I sometimes take older DSLRs with me on hikes just for the optical viewfinder and the shooting experience it provides.

The standard filter has a greenish hue while the vintage filter looks like it has a standard color. I hope they adjust it correctly because im sure the files arent working as intended.

I don't understand why this company, or any other company, doesn't produce a displayless per model, higher quality workmanship, modern quality with a better vintage filter (similar to the Fujifilm film simulations) for around $500-1000, I mean there is clearly a huge market for it, we all want a camera that is good without a display,Without having to spend $3-10,000 (pixii+ / Leica)
@lwment14 күн бұрын
I understand exactly what you mean but I wonder if there would be the same demand for this type of camera at a much higher price point? I think the price definitely draws people in

as far as a tripod mount for mounting accessories, maybe 3m tape or glue a cold shoe mount on the top. all i can imagine is a decent small/controllable LED light like what small rig or apeture makes to makeup for the built in weak flash power. great video as im glad ive been on the fence for these and of course they have an update. cheers!

Biggest problem with the older version is that it often had off-colors due to poor white balance choice, and it had a tendency to blow out highlights, especially the sky, because the dynamic range was so bad. Apparently, both of these have been improved on the new model. I think you can notice a bit the difference in dynamic range in the last comparison here, the spaces between the leaves tend to be pure white in the older model, whereas you can still see some detail in the newer model.
