The thing I don't get: why bother with a fake ID at all if he intended to get caught? He carried his manifesto with him that basically admitted to the crime. It would be interesting to get a stand-in model the exact same height and weight as Luigi, have him stand in the same spot under the same street cam and park the same model vehicle in the same place and compare the photos. Might the defense try that to see if it's a mismatch? The jury would find it interesting if one guy is significantly taller or shorter in such a photo comparison. Or, the prosecution could do that exercise if they're so sure Luigi is the perp.

I think his initial intention was to scatter the money over Thompson's body. If you watch the CCTV footage, you can see that Luigi has a few moments of hesitation when passing by the victim, but then he decided to just shoot off. He probably got scared, or due to the adrenaline rush, he didn't completely adhere to his plan. At least this is my take on the monopoly money.

You need to brush up on your firearm laws and details. It is legal for an individual to manufacture a firearm for personal use without any manufacturer license or stuff like that and not all states require homemade firearms to have serial numbers. Next, the magazine is a standard capacity Glock magazine and it is not 3d printed, it is a commercially available magazine manufactured by Magpul called a PMAG and it holds 15 rounds in standard configuration and 10 rounds for the states with 10 round magazine limits, there is no possible way that "dozens" of 9mm rounds can fit in a volume the size of that magazine. The firearm malfunctioned because his suppressor is not equipped with a Nielsen device which most semi-automatic handguns need to cycle properly and I find it odd that the police got all of the evidence they needed presented on a silver platter, it's like he was trying to get caught or this is staged. If he would have disposed of the evidence there is no way they could get a conviction based only on the fact that he vaguely resembles someone in blurry security camera footage.

I believe this kid had a botched surgery. Some drs have commented on his xray. I was told by two drs that if i didn't have surgery ( fusion) asap, I would be paralyzed. My instinct told me no. That was 6 yrs ago and im still walking and working . When you have insurance, drs see dollar signs. After they botch your back, they say there's nothing more they can do. I currently don't have insurance and it's funny that Drs don't have any recommendations for me, nothing i should be doing asap. The system is predatory. Surgeons are told to reach quotas through surgery and procedures. Many are left to suffer after they've scammed you out of thousands, and insurance doesn't cover everything. At this point you'll be told the pain is all in your head.

A defendant is also allowed to select any juror who they may feel are in their favor as well. You’ve got it backwards. Only arms dealers/seller/manufacturers can be legally compelled to create and register serial numbers. If you can’t make your own “ghost gnz” then the Second Amendment is pointless since the government still controls manufacturing. In the 1700s no one there were plenty of people who smithed locally or made in backyard metalworking shops. It doesn’t matter if I use CNC machines, an old-skool lathe, or a 3D printer: I have every right to make my own just like they did back then… and it’s not like 3D printing results in something more deadly or concerning. I haven’t made one and don’t ever intend to but I take comfort knowing that my right to is protected… as long as we don’t assume otherwise like you just did and let them take that right away from us.

Besides, neither does his presence at the hostel nor the DNA samples detected on garbage he supposedly dumped in the surrounding areas are sufficient evidence to effectively determine that he was the shooter. Traveling to New York City is not rare for someone of his age. The one person of interest should be the individual who appears on Starbuck´s security camera footage. Mangione could have been at the hostel, but the one shopping at Starbuck´s has a completely different face, which despite the mask, reveal the eyes of an eastern european, definitively ukranian, russian or khazarian-mongolian, a face similar to that of Elon Musk or Zelensky.

You can’t 3D-print an entire firearm the barrel, the slide the trigger, suppressor and several other smaller screws have to be metal and purchased from a manufacturers. Only the receiver could be 3-D printed.

From what I’ve read, lawyers and judges do not tell jurors they can nullify. Jury nullification is discouraged. "Jury nullification is when a jury in a criminal trial acquits a defendant even though they believe the defendant is guilty. It can also be known as jury equity or a perverse verdict. Jury nullification can occur when jurors disagree with the law or believe it is immoral or wrongly applied." I think they threw everything including"terrorism" at the defendant to illicit a plea. Perhaps the prosecutors are concerned about finding impartial jurors. But my bottom line question, can the jurors nullify the verdict if it’s guilty on any and or all charges? Does new York have special circumstances for jury nullification.

All throughout history, violence occurs when people are forced into a corner with no release valve. People can try voting, but insurance companies has got the legislature locked down with their unlimited funding of lobbiests. People can try litigation in the courts, but insurance companies has got that locked down as well with their armies of lawyers. People can’t really vote with their wallets, the several companies play the same games. With employer based healthcare, you’re stuck with whatever they give you. And the government mandates you need to have health insurance of some type, otherwise you get penalized, so you’re forced to give them your money. Violence is bad, but at least in this case it is foreseeable, and at least the victim is towards someone who is a culprit, not random innocent civilians

How did he get the bike? You have to have credit or debit card linked to an app to take a bike. There would be a record of that, easily attainable. The bike racks are under video surveillance, so if he someone managed to steal the bike, or take without paying, that would have been on video. Anybody know anything about any of that? And I'm still wanting to know how they know that he stayed at the hostel. Between hotels, Airbnbs, and private rentals, there are thousands of places to stay in New York City. Yet they went right to the hostel, where they conveniently found the video that they were looking for.

Hiram Percy Maxim also invented the automotive muffler and in Europe those are called silencers while we call them mufflers in the U.S.

The backsurgery was over a year ago & half ago prior to the event that happened a couple weeks ago. So him riding a bike is not all that serious. He wasnt a week or 2 post op, he was a YEAR AND A HALF post op from his back surgery. The location where this took place is Floyd Bennett Field. The NYPD has 4- 6 helicopters and there is always one on standby just in case there is an emergency similar to aircraft carriers (See Top Gun) when you have a plane out on assignment where their may be fighting you have someone ready to go. If you go to google maps you will see there is helicopter in the landing zone ready to go. They do this because it takes a long time to get them out of hangars. The reason they are walking slow is because the prisoner has legs restrain which are difficult to walk, to be able to walk you take small steps about 6 - 8 inches apart from each other.

Even you said that he can't be a lone wolf. And then he pled not guilty...

I don't think people understand how busy that area is where he committed his crime. Amazon has an office right across the street, and I grew up in that office for the early part of my career with them. Spent plenty of time where this was done. Insane that more people weren't present on the streets, sidewalks, or plazas.
