Great. I’m particular about water filters. I wish more camelbak products came with one instead of just thermoses, but I do know how to take this to army chemicals and wood made “char” coal

Inspiring? Absolutely. I went from literally running zero miles per month last year to ~50/week, many of them on great trails. This summer, I saw so much more of Yosemite than I ever would have because I was confident in tackling distances I wouldn't have considered in the past. I'm getting better sleep, am now at a healthy BP and am, in general, healthier than I maybe have been in my entire life. I have to credit your Tor Des Geants video as a main factor in getting me out there and changing my trajectory.

My two friends and I backpacked this route a few days ago, because we were very inspired by this video and it seemed like a great backcountry backpacking objective. We hiked 2.5 days, camping 2 nights (at Helm Creek and at Russet Lake). It was absolutely gorgeous and probably my favorite hike I've done in BC so far! Before the trip, from the video it looked like it was not too difficult, but luckily we got the challenge we were looking for. Carrying up our big backpacks with tents and all up that Whistler Mountain was no joke. When watching the video again after the hike, we felt so seen as Jeff and Audree seemed to be as tired as we were. We had the exact same reaction when we found the water source after the Whistler Mountain. Thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous route! It was an amazing adventure!

I am 47,and started running exactly one year ago. I was not able to run more than 30 sec interval with 2 min walk in between. Today I ran my first 10k. The beauty is that after watching your videos (back to back sometimes) I did the 10K as trail run. My goal is to run the 50k at Quebec Mega Trail. I love your videos and definitely you are an inspiration for many others including myself. I am still exploring your channel to see if I could find more info about nutrition and preparation. I am doing intermittent fasting and low carbs that helped me reverse diabetes but not sure if it will be sustainable when running long distances.

Jeff you have no idea how you help me , especially mentally, for my upcoming occ utmb race . Im a 51 yrs old ultra runner mom from Kuwait , a country that is too flat with not even a single hill in sight , temp is hot 53 c degrees in the summer , my longest mountain race was 100k. Im putting all my effort into my dream of finishing occ .. your videos are what keep me going on long runs on the treadmill and stairs . Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart all the way from Kuwait 💕💕💕

Beautiful film! Your explanation of what it takes to "look good" during the footage is much appreciated, and humble. Although it is still an exceptional display of athleticism, that ability to perform is earned, and doesn't just magically appear for a video on demand. Well done! A great reminder of why the hard work is worth the effort, and the process is the gift.

I’m not sure I could easily say why, but this is my favourite of your videos so far. I am not an ultra runner, but my wife and I do run a little and do a little trail running. I like the variety of your videos. It’s great to see the events you participate in. But it’s also great to see days like this one. To be honest, it was a revelation to hear that you had to work up to a day like this. That was reassuring to hear. I had foolishly thought that you are just super humans who do this kind of a run on a whim. So I think what I particularly like (in addition to the beautiful scenery) is hearing a little about the background to what running trails like this requires of you. Also, since I am primarily a mountain biker (based in Ireland) it was great to see a little of Whistler from a different perspective. I especially loved seeing you walking on the bike trails. If I could give a video two thumbs-up, this one would get it from me. Thanks.

Thanks John, I appreciate the feedback and the kind words! It's easy for us to begin to take for granted to a degree all of the training that goes into these kinds of runs and to not talk about it. Both my training and recovery is something that I plan to speak more about in my future videos.

One of the reasons that I run is the enjoyment of where it can take me in nature. Whatever fitness I gain is a tool to get me out into the beautiful areas that I want to see. Videos like this which highlight the beauty of nature are inspiring to me to build my fitness to the point where I can embark on similar journeys.

I'm not sure how often people tell you Jeff, but you motivate myself and I'm sure a lot of others included. I got diagnosed with a GI disease last year called ulcerative colitis and it's pretty much derailed me from any exercise activity motivation for the past year. Luckily, I'm on some medication and starting to feel normal enough to try to pick up running again the past month or so and it feels amazing to be moving again. I've almost been binge watching your videos lately and I really appreciate your motivation through these videos as well as the dedication it takes from you amongst training/races to make these great documentaries of your journey. I'd honestly love to get involved with trail running races and do all of these incredible things you've done on your journey man. Eventually get my wife out there walking/jogging on trails too so we can create memories like you and your spouse are doing! You're going to have a hell of a story to tell when you're older brother. Keep making us proud and motivated, I look forward to binging more content of yours for sure!

Did this video inspire me?! Are you kidding...? I was practically drooling over those insane views! Haha... What a beautiful place! In April of 2020, just out of the damn blue, I suddenly got plantar fasciitis and it's not been terrible at all, but I can't get rid of it no matter what I do. So, I have decided to run again. It doesn't make a difference if I do or not and I have been missing my long trail runs soooo much! I am currently at three 4-mile runs a week. So, still very much at the beginning. But I'll get back to my long distances and until I do, I just keep living vicariously through you! Thank you!!

Yes, as always your video did inspire me. I'm not a runner, though I wish I were when I see your vids. Still, you inspire me to do a better job of conveying the effort along with the beauty found on trips I do - as with Flora last week. This did that, and while I'll never do 68k in a day, Plenty of beauty can be had with even 15 or 20k beneath our boots. I'm off to Needle next weekend to share that little gem with a friend, and will take some lessons from your efforts here on how best to share the adventure. Thanks as always for taking us with you!

Jeff You Produce World Class Videos. Like this one, and your Fast Packing around UTMB. Or Crewing and Pacing the Hardrock 100 !!! These Videos are definitely Awe Inspiring, and well worth watching every minute. !! I spend a whole summer in 2005 hiking all thru the Canadian Rockies. It was Magnificent !!! I admire your youthful speed, and excitement for pushing yourself, out of your Comfort Zone, In the Most Beautiful Places in the World. !!! Trail Running has got to be the Ultimate Lifestyle !!! I am envious that you have found a way to do what you Love, as well as making a Living Doing it. I did a lot of Adventurous things in my 20' and 30's. Now at 63, I am mostly Sedentary, having lost Mobility, because both lower legs have been amputated. Be Very Grateful for your Legs and Feet, that they are able to Carry you, as far, and as fast as you can go. Sadly, Badly, that is not me any more. Growing Old Sucks !! And watching these kinds of Videos, is nice as a Spectator, but not the Same, As having the Adrenalin Rush, of actually going outside, and climbing up mountains yourself. Enjoy all the Fun and Adventures, and keep posting more World Class Videos. !!!

Your videos have been inspiring me. I just recently began training for long distance walking with the hopes of doing the Camino de Santiago hopefully in 2025 before I turn 60 (in two years). I live in a very hilly and beautiful area called the Southern Tier of NY state. So I able to get a lot of variety in on my walks. But since finding your channel and watching you and Audree' do all your races, I actually attempted to "shuffle" (what I call my slow version of jogging) down hill, haha (that comes from a person with bad knees and a supposedly needed hip replacement. What I LOVE about these videos is that you leave the drama OUT and while you do say what's hard and where you struggle - you do it in a positive way and not for the KZbin clicks. Thanks for all your hard work.

I’ve definitely been inspired, watching many of your training and BIG race videos. I have run marathons but not an ultra yet. At 67 I am planning a 50k this summer. Watching you and Aubrey really sets the tone and gives me ideas about calories, pacing, hydration galore. My goal is to at least appear to be as upbeat and happy as Aubrey at 45k. Keep it up. I’d love to hear just an occasional summary of your k or mile paces on flats, hills and total.

Gobsmackingly beautiful and inspiring in the extreme. At times I spontaneously reacted with laughter and tears of disbelief at the sheer beauty of your video. My wife and I and our 2 kids here in Sydney in lockdown have truly enjoyed this spectacle. Your GPX file is safely in my Garmin route list now (thank you) and one day we'd love to do this trail - probably over a couple of days. Having worked in Calgary for some years in the past, I have been lucky enough to enjoy your Canadian wilderness, especially around Banff, Peto Lake etc., and can't wait to share it with my famo. On Friday my 11yo and I will head out and do a half marathon run around some local trails. At age 4 Will became the youngest person (unofficially) to do the Tongariro Crossing trail in NZ. At age 2, our daughter (unofficially) became the youngest person to do the 14km City to Surf here in Sydney (100,000+ people do this every year). So our family has a bit of the crazy going on and we can't wait to bring it to you lovely Canadians (Aussies with an accent...). Cheers and thanks - Dave

I'm 36 and started watching your videos about a month and a half into my first-ever attempt at becoming a regular runner, I'm now about 4 months in hitting 50k+ a week and loving it! Your videos are a big inspiration and often when I'm out and struggling I find myself thinking of the things you've said whilst doing some commentary on your own races.

Totally love seeing content like this. Spending time in nature outside my comfort zone has made the best memories for me. New Zealand and Patagonia Chile 💖 were life changing

I like how you frame things…the words you choose. Very inspiring. Both of you, also, in such a good mood after all that running, climbing, etc., makes for a positive video! Camera shots were amazing!

I'm a year late in watching this video, but I have to comment and say a huge Thank You for posting this! The beauty of the scenery is breathtaking. I've never seen lakes that color of blue before. This was a gorgeous film. Thank you so much for filming and sharing it with us!

Glad you enjoyed it! Glacial lakes are quite unique in terms of colour - it’s caused by how the sunlight reflects off the sediment.

Awesome film, again. I find these kind of films truly inspiring. I started (trail)running five years ago and not long after started to document my own adventures. With the same goal as you make your films. To inspire and show what kind of beauty you can have just outside your door. It only takes one starting step. Thank.

Your videos are definetly inspiring. Your runs look so easy but I know, that they are not. Please continue in producing this amazing videos in this wonderfull landscape (I'm from the south of Germany and it's not so nice here as in BC ;-) ). I do run 2 or 3 times a week but only short distances - basically for my mental health. And this is exactly what I need. If I need a litte push to continue - I'l watch your videos ... :-) Thank you so much.

Wow, simply wow! Jeff & Audree, I am so grateful to you both for sharing the adventures and your trail running journey. I started trail running this year, and have done a couple of races on Vancouver Island this past summer and this video (and a few other videos of yours) have absolutely convinced me to trail run for the rest of my life. I’ve been learning & training to keep going, and shall continue to do so. Have promised myself to qualify for the UTMB in the next few years. Thank you for inspiring so many of us ❤🙏

Very nice shot Jeff - as always! I also watched Kerry Ward's run/hike on almost the same route and am impressed with the area. Since I also do trail running, your videos really motivate me when I'm on the treadmill in the winter and getting ready for summer runs in the Alps.
