The whole 1st row is unnecessary. I wish he would have eliminated most in the first row and instead put 1 shimmer shade in each row to correspond with those colors. That would have made way more sense then having so many colors that look exactly the same when blended out.

It's not, this is more of a pro palette which means it's meant for all different skin tones and different looks (not just the eyes). So, everyone needs to understand this before they review and/or purchase the palette.

@@KateKosmo Cosmetologist- that doesn't mean anything (no shade by this comment either). That means you went to school for mainly hair and briefly touched on cosmetics, hygiene, some anatomy or facial structure, skin types, and a brief overview of makeup application. Makeup artists focus on everything makeup related and go to school for this specifically which there they can become licensed as a professional makeup artist or learn by trade (by a highly respectable company who will train them).

I think if this was a 9 or even 12 shade palette that would be plenty. Most of the shades will look exactly the same on the eyes. This is a colourful eyeshadow lover talking though! Lol. I appreciate seeing a review from someone I watch regularly & trust. Thanks for the honest video 🖤

You’ll Be happier with those and can use that extra money you saved and get another colourpop palette or two. lol. I honestly wish that it was a mix of math and shimmers. I might’ve considered buying it then. I honestly have no issue with the whole orgy concept (jeffree is a sexual creature)....but I totally understand other people being offended by it.

It's just... a boring palette to me. Taking my personal feelings about Jeffree out of it, even if this was a brand I loved and supported, I'd still think it's boring. The top row is basically the same shade.

Plus you can use the highlighters as eyeshadow. I use the 24 karat highlighter pallet as eyeshadow all the time and from the looks of it the highlighters work better.

This is the first time that I didn’t purchase anything during one of his launches. I just have tons of nude palettes and just didn’t want a product with that name. I’m not a prude. I just think it’s tacky not edgy.

Me too! My daughter and I log in for all his new releases. This was such a borderline insult of a palette. It's terrible that he put the shimmers in an entirely different palette (more $ for him). I also think nudes are about over...who doesn't have all these shades already and I feel it was dirty for the sake of being dirty. Disappointing, boring and borderline insulting. It's the first of his I'm not jumping on. Oddly cremated works as a very cool neutral palette for me, warm browns are so played out. I do hope anyone who dropped the coin enjoys it tho. I have no clue how an MUA could possibly use this with the cover. Like you said tacky. Gaudy and lazy. Money grab. LoL!

Thanks for the review! Honestly, I was super disappointed with this launch. The main palette has way too many light shades, just like cremated does. I was contemplating getting the mini but I’m not sure now after watching this. I’m honestly bored of all the new gloss shades with his launches now and I want more lipstick shades but not in a giant vault 😂

I bought just the mini. So 6 shades are full on beautiful creamy shimmers and 3 are weaker. On the top row shades 1 and 3 and on the bottom row shade 2 are weaker than the rest. The white is the biggest disappointment it's all sparkle and no background colour. The middle shade is so stunning. Hope that helps you decide. I’m going to try using a wet brush later to see if I can get more pigment from the other 2.

@@shendisackett maybe use the white as inner corner highlight? Or try glitter glue.? I found glitter glue helped with the melt 420 shimmer that everyone complained about

@@sharnahorn8642 the glitter glue is a good idea. Literally I thought to myself well the white will just be an inner corner highlight then! Perhaps it can be used as a topper to add some sparkle to other shades.

I would want to see a 3 looks video. When I saw the promo swatches of the mini my first thought was that they looked dry and scratchy. I wouldn’t be able to wear the first two rows except as a “translucent” base but I use face powder for that. I no longer support J* but I’m happy to watch you play with it!

When makeup you tubers say “nude” they’re usually referring to pinkier tones, not straight up brown and taupe. Like nude lipsticks are usually pink/blush colors. In his reveal video everything was pink in the beginning so that’s what I was expecting! The colors in this were such a disappointment. I love the one pink in the shimmer palette and wish there were more of those!

I feel like JS took his concealer shades and used these as colors in this palette. So many of the colors have slight tone differences that just don’t show up on the eye when in powder form. You could do easily edit this palette waaay down. No one needs so many mattes. It would have made more sense if they had different finishes. I keep giggling at JS saying this is such a fun collection. Only fun thing is the packaging. The rest is boring. Especially seeing how the nude trend resurrection started last year so any one interested has dupes for the shades they like a billion times over. I think if this palette had been released at the end of last year people would be a lot more excited about it

She didn't want to say the name of the palette because KZbin would instantly demonetise her video. That's why he probably won't get so many reviews of this collection. Oh and apparently the algorithm also picks up more on words said in the first 30 seconds of a video so she was being smart not saying it. I don't know if KZbin would have demonetised some of the other terms like glory hole but they probably will now after the palette is more known about.

Everything else aside, this is the last color story that needed to be this big. If it was going to be that large, there should have been shimmers in there too. No makeup artist is going to use a palette that large or one with that cover and those shade names. (Glory hole? Gross) No consumer needs such a repetitive group of colors.

I feel like this pallet is really geared more toward makeup artists who do lots of different peoples makeup. It has the ability to be nude for any skin color and I think for anyone else is just going too be the never-ending basic brown pallet which is still a good thing.
