Thanks Sharan! Is it similar for med school interviews?
@sharankapadia78914 жыл бұрын
Jeff Su Yes and No! There’s no ‘ideal student description’ but generally speaking it’s best practice to link what you say to the qualities of a good doctor:) The main part about medical school interviews is demonstrating that you have a realistic understanding of the career and that you’re motivated for the right reasons!
@JeffSu4 жыл бұрын
@@sharankapadia7891 Ahhh that makes a lot of sense. I remember watching Ali's video on med school interviews and he said something along the lines of someone with a "unique" medical experience (ex. being saved by a doctor) has an "unfair" leg up over others for that exact reason. That's very interesting, thanks for teaching me something new today Sharan!

Hi Jeff, thanks for sharing.😉I have one question here~ There may be two different ways to answer the first implicit question question. If this question is asked before the behavior questions, tell a story about your strength using STAR format is suitable. But if this question is asked at the end of the interview, would it be better to summarize all the strengths instead of telling a story as it has been illustrated before in the behavior questions? ?🤔Sample answer may like (words may need modifications, get the idea of it😅): As I mentioned before, my experience on A would be helpful to do X. And as I have done B, I am confident to do Y. Last but not least, experience on C would allow me to deal with Z.(X,Y,Z is the job requirements)

@JeffSu4 жыл бұрын
@@jakelee6811 Wow this topic can be an entire video on itself (thanks for the suggestion!). In a nutshell, I'd say you should have a LinkedIn profile that's tailored towards the industries that you want to be in. Consistency is key! Instead of asking for recommendations (on LinkedIn) from connections who have worked with you across various capacities, for example, you might want to ask a specific set connections (ex. those who can speak to your experience in consulting) to talk about different aspects/strengths they observed about you throughout those consulting projects.
