Hi,,, I used you ladder idea to raise mine up,thanks for that tip ,,I have a problem with my new hyperscorpion ,, The chain keeps coming off the front sproket when I go into 7th or 8th gear ,, the chain walks off the front sproket on the outboard side "away from the center of the bike after about 10 seconds of pedaling in either of those 2 gears , it stays on the back spocket ok but walks off the front , then I have to stop and put it back on ,,then downshift to a lesser gear , any ideas?? ,, and while looking at the back of the bike ,, the luggage rack with the licence plate bracket/tailight, isnt centered to the rear wheel,, it looks off to the left side of the bikes rear tire /wheel,,, and theres no adjustment for that,, it bolts to the frame in 4 spots, I tried to see if your licence plate bracket was centered but your camera angle was off center ,, is your tailight centered to the rear wheel? Thanks Dan
@UncleFjester3 жыл бұрын
Su'p Dan? My license bracket is centered to the tire, the rack is centered to the frame as there is no adjustments for that. I do have alignment issues with the rear caliper centering over the disc rotor, which make brake adjustment impossible. Without putting 2 bikes side by side, its gonna be tough to see what's wrong, but I suspect something either with the frame being bent or rear wheel design, build, spacers, bottom bracket. For what its worth my chain is perfectly straight when on the 3rd from smallest gear.
@dantmanish3 жыл бұрын
@@UncleFjester Hey UF ,, I took the seat and the rear luggage bracket /plate holder off ,, I can line the upper part of the frame to the lower swingarm better with the seat and rack off,,and looking down on the seat support part of the frame to the swingarm,,, it looks like it was fabricated at an angle , I put the luggage rack/licence plate holder back on and it is 1 inch to the left of the center of the tire, the seat part of the frame angles to the left side looking from the back to front,, I just got this thing and I like the ride and the performance and even ordered some of the parts in your video to put the 2nd battery in,,,, and then I happened to look at it from the rear and thought wtf is that?,,, it's off by a mile ,, I mean I cant stop seeing it now,, the seat /rack all are at a angle to the bikes rear wheel ,, so now I am wondering if thats why it derails in the hi gears ?? I had it up in the air on the lift you suggested and pedaled it with my hand in high gear,, back wheel turning slowly and looking down on the front sproket ,,the chain has an aggresive angle from the small sproket in back to the front sproket ,, about 10 secs pedaling by hand and it pops off the front,, There are no adjustments for that ,,, With these major problems I am going to try to return / exchange this one ,,, Theres no fixing this ,, at least short of cutting some welds apart and rewelding the frame ,,,I have a welding machine but wtf I'm retired and that would be like going bcak to work ,,and I didnt buy a project ebike ,, least I didn't think I did

Not this one, the hyperscorpion, its too small for an american man without re-engineering everything like I had to do! Seat is too close to the pedal to get full extension and seat is not replaceable. I could go on but I have videos documenting all the crap

You can get the seat riser it raises the seat 2in and it makes a good difference and if you don’t want to pay $80 make one out of wood like i did

Still, its an engineering defect to design a bike and put it into production for the American market, knowing an american man can't make Full extension to pedal without immediate Mods. Now for the sake of intellectual conversation, we can agree that the bike isn't slow, it has pep and torque which is due to the Bafang motor. Knowing what you know, would you still like the bike if it was slow with a POS motor that Toga built in house, like the POS Tires?
