IMPORTANT: I'll see you guys with another PHINEAS AND FERB VIDEO in just a few days, because TOMORROW Dan and Swampy will be attending the D23 Expo to talk about Phineas and Ferb and its REVIVAL. Also would low key love to see an episode where Phineas starts to click with a new girl who can build cool inventions which makes Isabelle extremely jealous because she's hilarious when she's jealous.

Maybe make Doof, in the new seasons, something like a recovering addict. He doesn't want to do evil, and maybe have him do things like attend Evil Doers Anonymous meetings or have a chart of 'X days since last attempt to take over the Tri-State Area;, but he can't kick the habit just yet. Perhaps have episodes when he doesn't do anything, some in which he's close do doing evil but resists, as well as ones in which he falls of the wagon. If a person has spent years doing evil, they're not going to recover instantly, and may, indeed, have lapses, and framing it as an addition is both realistic, and potentially a lesson the show can teach the, mostly young, viewers. Of course, that may all be a little dark for a family show.

Exactly, this is the sort of idea that'd be preferably. Doof trying to slowly stop doing any evil would be so interesting. It could actually be a good way to kinda put a gap between end of Phineas and Ferb to most of Milo Murphy's Law season 1 if this new summer took place before the end MML season 1 (which I hope is the case). And it would still make sense as Doof doesn't know yet that he's Professor Time, so he doesn't know what he wants to do in his life yet now that he is trying to not be evil anymore. It'd be a cool spin on what to do with Doof.

The original series of Phineas and Ferb premiered in 2007, with the entire storyline unfolding over the course of that summer, excluding special episodes, holiday-themed episodes, and any time jumps. This timeline suggests that if the upcoming season is set during the following summer, it would logically take place in 2008 within the Phineas and Ferb universe. I find the idea of anchoring the new season specifically in 2008 intriguing. It would not only preserve the continuity of the show but also provide an opportunity to explore the cultural and technological landscape of that particular year, adding an additional layer of depth and nostalgia to the series.

I think Candace might actually bust someone else instead. We know two of her friends now have a connection to OWCA. We know that she becomes a lawyer. We know that all those evil scientist are still running loose. So maybe, just maybe, Candace will start busting them. That seems like a natural character progression. I think Doof will be more focused on becoming Professor Time, and Perry will be sent to keep an eye on him, making sure things go smoothly. What Easter eggs or crossovers do you think there will be? Fingers crossed for any ties to Gravity Falls, Owl House and Amphibia. Fun fact: Alex Hirsch did work on Phineas and Ferb. He was a storyboard artist and minor voice actor. Can’t wait for the trailer at D23!

I'd like to see an episode or a moment where Isabella meets and/or interacts with Perry (as Agent P) and Doofenshmirtz and gets to know them, especially Doofenshmirtz, more. Isabella could even feel sympathy for Doofenshmirtz after hearing about his tragic backstories and finds out about his genuinely good nature and need for attention and respect despite his former role as an evil scientist before he was reformed into being a good guy.

In terms of Candace's phones, maybe just make the battery bad. As a teenager I had a smartphone with a battery life of like half-an-hour, and Candace is definitely the kind of person to forget to charge her mobile.

Simply because otherwise Candace wouldn't even be able to call Linda on the Phone, which in most episodes is crucial to build up some "tension". Although she could use Stacy's phone or someone else's to call her, she could also use their phones to send Linda some pictures. Although they could come up with a brand new excuse for each episode, I wouldn't mind that either

For example, Doof has a ray that makes phone batteries die, so he can have more time with his daughter, Norm distorts cell-phone signals, or Phineas' and Ferb's new device is slightly radioactive, and causes pictures to distort.

I think the tech thing could be solve easily: Candace: Mum, watch Handtoe, is full of photos of Phineas and Ferb doing.... Linda: Candace, sweety, you know that I do not have Handtoe since that creepy Lindaner contact with us The photos are tricky to explain, but Candace can be a meme spamer, so her mum do not download what she sends (and work the way of she erasing photos or forget she had it)

I have a lot of hopes and wishes for this revival. While they say it'll mostly be the same show, I really hope some things are tweaked. Since this is the next summer, it would be cool to see some new designs, as "Act Your Age" shows the characters getting one each year. I hope we get some MML cameos. The later seasons, they got more grounded and had a dramatic tone, mainly with season 4 having a lot of specials, have that happen here. Since Candace will probably be turning 17, maybe an episode where she looks into applying for college.

I would LOVE if this new season takes place after Candace Against the Universe where in the end, Candace learned that busting her brothers wasn’t all that important anymore and because of that, this new season will have her be SUPPORTIVE of her brothers and THIS TIME tries to get their mom to see their big grand creations out of appreciation like, “MOM! You gotta see what Phineas and Ferb are doing! It’s so cool!” Only for the big grand creation to disappear (cuz of Doof and Perry, as always) and Candace will be left sad their mother never saw their cool inventions and will try various ways to save ‘em for their mom to see. That would make excellent character development for her honestly. I pray for that!

Honestly I’m trying to think of what I’d want to see in the revival. Hmm. I’m biased. But I’d love to see Heinz try to build the other dimension inator again. But Perry stops him right away. Heinz isn’t pleased about it. And is about to tell Perry he didn’t even explain why he wanted to make this specific inator. But then he sees Perry shaking. Not from rage. But fear. Look. They have been through so much together. And I think eventually Perry would explain to Heinz what happened. That and I like a bit of angst mixed with hurt/comfort.

Hopefully this new season will be amazing. You have some good ideas to update the show and I would like to see a lot of them unfold. I also agree with the notion that Isabella could use a rival. Create a new cute girl who likes building inventions and she gets close to Phineas. I think it would be interesting to see Isabella give us more angst about her feelings. I also hope that we get some great new songs since that’s another one of my favorite elements of the show. I also love how you want Doofenshmirtz to evolve too. Hello @Jegcopo. I've been following you for a while now because I really enjoy your videos. While I did see some Phineas and Ferb episodes many years ago, I only properly watched the whole show (including the 2 films) all the way through for the first time last summer and I've been constantly re-watching all my favourite outings ever since. To say I'm a Phineas and Ferb fan would be a big understatement. It's my favourite series ever (animated or otherwise) because it's a real comfort program for someone like me who has autism and anxiety issues. The writing is so smart and funny, the characters are so nuanced and loveable (my favourite is Candace, same as you), the animation is fantastic and the songs are so catchy and iconic. And as a huge Disney Animation fan, I personally think it has the spirit of the great Disney Animation classics and I even think that Walt Disney himself would have been proud of it as it embodies the very imagination and creativity that he wanted to promote through everything he did. I'm really excited for the new seasons and I can't wait to see what's going to happen in them. Sorry for the long comment, but I just wanted to introduce myself as a fellow Phineas and Ferb fan.

Some of the show's songs were created for a CD, more music streaming programs and KZbin but didn't get added to the episodes, the movie, the stand-alone special or the Disney Plus Original. Candace could finally bust her brothers in the sixth season to finish the series.

I think they should keep it just episodic. The main appeal for Phineas and Ferb is you could pick up a random episode in a random part of the story and still understand it. I’m keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 when everything from the original show will remain for the revival - like 👍 the characters will still stay the same age - Phineas and Isabella will still be together - Candace will continue to bust her brothers - Candace will still call 📱 Stacy on the phone 📱 in a few episodes - the animation will most likely be the same from the original series and as in 2D animation I want a few new things in the revival - have the entire season (and season 6) be set in a new summer, not have to be set in when they’re at school 🏫 and a year after the original series - Stacy will join Perry on his missions - Ferb and Vanessa would be together - have a few episodes to take place 10 years in the future - other characters including Jenny, Irving and more will make more screen 📺 time appearances - the secondary characters will make more appearances like 👍 Jeremy and Stacy

My thoughts for the revival until it starts, continues and finishes are: New outfits for the characters; Phineas in a grass skirt, Isabella in a bikini, Baljeet in shorts and Vanessa in a ballgown. New places upon the world of the show; Danville Welcome Center, Danville Train Station and Coltrane's Apartment Building. Irving and Django enjoying more of Phineas and Ferb's contraptions alongside Isabella, Buford and Baljeet. Mr. Shapiro debuting as the Fireside Girls earn their final merit patches. The animal agents graduating the Organization Without a Cool Acronym. Jeremy finally noticing how sinister Suzy had been to Candace without forgiveness and urging her off to repent so she takes her horrible pranks back and learns to forgive. Stacy and Coltrane on their first all-day date and having their first kiss. Jenny revealing to be Django's sister. Esmerelda Poofenplotz and Professor Mysterious joining L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. Heinz Doofenshmirtz no longer enjoying having Perry as his favorite nemesis and more intent on destroying him with Charlene finally seeing his evil nature and believing Vanessa and Norm suddenly locating his self-destruct button and pressing it, killing the divorced parents and making Vanessa an ORPHAN before she begins attending Roger's retirement party and dating Ferb. Candace finally getting her driver's license and busting her title brother and stepbrother with both Linda and Lawrence seeing their contraption and placing them in so much trouble; it won't be a dream like Phineas and Ferb Get Busted/At Last or a time-traveling alteration like Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo, it'll be a present reality and the boys could end up LEAVING DANVILLE NEVER TO RETURN as the trouble.

But I also want them to fix all the errors, extend some of the episodes and their songs, create and change some scenes as well as record more word lines, make a new song or set of scenes for some of the credits reels to replace repeated scenes and second song verses, turn all three of the two-parters into multi-plotted double-lengthers with new titles, add new details and create new images of all the characters in the rest of the outfits from throughout the rest of the show.

I won't watch these two new seasons until after Candace Against the Universe. I already mentioned that both it and The O.W.C.A. Files proved that a lyric line at the end of Last Day of Summer was right about that ending of the show not being the truest ending. That stand-alone special and the Disney Plus Original were concepts and an exceptional continuation of the show to start the new seasons and begin the revival.

Here is what I am hoping for with the revival: I think it will remain episodic and character driven for the most part, but there may be some loose overarching plots and a stronger focus on continuity, much like Big City Greens and the Ghost and Molly McGee. -Agent T For Teen could be a Stacy plot. -I want Candace to have a more genuine and creatively investigative side to her trying to “bust” Phineas and Ferb, because CATU is very significant. -it would be neat to see an episode where the mom sees the boys’ invention and is impressed, just like in “Interview With a Platypus.” -I hope they either do something with the Phinabella dynamic to make Act Your Age feel more meaningful, or just retcon Act Your Age completely. -I’m hoping that S6 has a Moon Girl crossover. -Molly McGee crossover? -what if Phineas and Ferb learned about New Urbanism? -more screen time for Jenny and Django -Major Monogram and Doof thanksgiving -keep the same humor style -age up Phineas, Isabella, Ferb and the rest of what Isabella calls teh “entourage” up to 12 or 13, because I think a bat mitzvah episode for Isabella would be so cool to see. I agree with most of this except for the age Phineas and the characters up to 12-13 part. Since the revival is gonna take place a year since the last summer, they're likely gonna stay the same age for most of the revival plus looking like they did in the original show so that the revival feels familiar for people. Plus don't forget that MOSTLY EVERYONE'S birthdays are in the summer. As cool as it would be for Isabella to have a Bat Mitzvuh episode, I doubt it will happen.

Interesting idea with the phone AI concept, but I don't think it needs to be that complicated. Sure, Candace might get a great phone, but that doesn't mean her mother would. A lot of moms don't care to upgrade their technology. I wouldn't be surprised if her mom stops using a phone entirely because she decides it distracts her from other things in life.

One of my favorite transformers series, Transformers prime, did this excellently. Mixing in little tidbits of plot in mostly self-contained episodes. Although, that show was 3-D animated and not 2-D animated like P&F, and I have actually kind of wanted a Phineas and Ferb transformers themed episode.

Given how Doof became a recurring character in MML I'd say anything is possible. Although I wouldn't love to see that, I think each show should focus on its characters only, cameos and crossovers are fine, but just every once in a while

I think Doof will turn evil again, but it has NOTHING to do with the Christmas episode at all, considering Doofenshmirtz was still good in Season 2 of Milo Murphy's Law, which took mostly place in Winter and way PAST Christmas (and, well, Dan and Swampy aren't strangers to retconning things: we literally got _two_ entirely different Halloween episodes that supposedly took place the same evening, for instance) Instead, I think Doof's return of evil will have to do with _nostalgia pandering._ People who have stopped watching PnF nearly 10 years ago and have not kept track with MML at all are going to expect things to be _exactly the same_ as it was before, especially since Dan and Swampy promised this. Doof having become good (and struggling with that) goes against that, as it was only explored in two episodes (with one being at the end of the series, and another practically being undone at the end of the episode). I personally think it's malarkey since it basically undoes his progress in MML, but it makes sense from the standpoint they're looking at.

The nostalgia thing might actually be the reason for his returning to evil, but Povenmire even explained in an interview with The Second Dimension that Doof's "good arc" will be going through a non-linear development, meaning he'll relapse a few times, allowing the Christmas Spacial AND his character journey in MML to still make sense

Throughout Season 2 of Milo Murphy's Law, Doofenshmirtz stays at the Murphys since his DEI building got destroyed in "The Phineas and Ferb Effect"; yet in PnF's "Christmas Vacation", Doofenshmirtz is still in an intact DEI building.

There is one big element that needs addressing that I think should redefine the whole "Standard" plot: "The Last Day of Summer" and CATU kind of resolved the old Formula already, so It would feel a bit regressive to simply go back to the Same old thing, Same old story. So by that definition, it seems they CAN'T use the old layout anymore, summer or not. We already resolved several character journeys now and I don't think they'd try regressing the characters back to where they used to be just for convenience's sake. After all, when Doof showed up in MML He wasn't really Evil anymore (And that's not even counting the whole "time travel future" we saw in the show, this is just a general display), So either they have to set the show at a previous summer or they have to rework the entire standard episode outline. So I think it's more likely (or at least I THINK) that we'll have to assume the series will look significantly different this time rather than how it used to. So I think the same SPIRIT is going to be present, but the STORY will change.

I see what you mean, but Povenmire both confirmed that the season will be taking place on the following summer AND that things will mostly stay the same, likely hinting at Candace and Doof being their old selves. I do aggre that this would be a pretty big regression as it would make episodes like 'Last Day Of Summer' or the Candace movie much less meaningful but this is just how things will be to keep the audience interested. If they were to change the standard episode structure for a whole season and not just an episode or two, they might end up "scaring" the old audience away. This is not going to be easy for them, but HOPEFULLY with some more serialization they might just make Doof's returning to evil feel like a relapse due to his sucking at being good or him feeling the peer pressure and judgement of the old members of LOVE MUFFIN. As for Candace, they should just make her less obsessive at once showing that she has grown but that she didn't give up on her true nature. They should mix it up for her and alternate her trying to bust the boys with her doing something entirely different, either getting her driver's licence, obsessing over Jeremy, getting involved in Stacy's storyline with Perry, being required to help out the Fireside Girls given how she's still part of the organization or potentially just more smi-regular teenage girl stuff

(And I'm not even counting Time Travel episodes that have told us about how things [Supposedly] changed at some point.) After all, as much as you can keep the gag alive, you need to vary it to keep it from being stale, and they've already done it for 4 seasons, it's time for some REAL Growth, not just the old status quo all over again. How would a VA change affect their relationship like that? Like yeah, I know that Ferbnessa became a thing as an inside joke considering their VAs also played a kid couple in Love Actually, but I think origins hardly matter with the fictional character relationships. I mean, Vanessa's ex-boyfriend Johnny most likely got his name in reference to Johnny Depp having dated Vanessa Paradis, yet the PnF Johnny and Vanessa broke up. Isabella is also named after Dan's eldest daughter, who now calls themself Alex now; doesn't mean Isabella has to be renamed or anything.
