I still like this episode though, my only problem was that instead of using the setup of Fiore suggesting to cheat ( and her maybe doing that behind Allys back and getting caught ) they just Gabby'd Ally...

Ally was much dumber, she didn't need jake explain anything. She said that watched his season. Jake was suspicious, but Ally from the beginning assumed that HE was hiding something while blindly trusted Riya, again!

Gret, Gabby and Ellie sit in Riya's shed only because Jake's shed ran out of seating. This was even mentioned in the episode. And Yul supports Riya only because he was the last one to find the totem and Jake and Ally were already taken.

I agree with Dark Wolf. Don't get me wrong, the line was funny from Ellie, but do you really think she would support Jake besides Tom, Miriam, and Aiden. And besides Grett, all three don't know Ally that much, and probably won't even support her anyways. Gabby likes Tom, but she likes Ellie more, same thing with Tess (Gabby & Ellie), it's easier to just sit in an open spot. Also Grett is notorious for supporting the villain in the story to usurp the remaining finalists if it benefits her (see Season 1), so it wouldn't surprise me that she convinced Gabby and Ellie to support Riya possibly as a plot, even if they have to side with Yul. I have faith Grett has more to do in the second part of the challenge. Possibly give Yul one more lick unless he's willing to redeem himself (kinda doubt it)

Iirc they did that for beta season 1. But I don’t think they’ve done it again since, I wished they’ve done that for all seasons, I feel like it’d be really cool. As well as keeping both fanbases happy like you mentioned.

Naw the alternate endings were never a good idea cause we never get an official winner. If a winner comes back for a season I want them to be able to mention that they’ve already won instead of writing around the idea that no one won

And I can’t speak for the person who made the original comment but I meant alternate ending in terms of there’s an official winner but we have an alternate ending just for the one that didn’t as a “this is how things would’ve turned out if x character one but it’s canon that y character one”. If that makes sense

The only thing I could come up with Riya gaining 10 gems is that she SOMEHOW stole Ally’s gems, which would explain why her book bag had wholes in it. And trust me, not even enough diamonds can craft such bull$hit plot armour. But honestly, I’m just more upset that they were the final three yet NOT ONE OF THEM were all that likable. The point of having finalist is to not only give them a reason to win but show their likable traits that gives us a reason to root for them and none of them even exuded positive traits. This is kind of why I appreciated DC s1 and 2 since their finalist that had likable traits about them, regardless if they were the protagonist or antagonist. Each of them had qualities that we liked and understood since it gave us a reason why we want them to win. Even Total drama got that right. And while they had their faults and issues overtime, they at the very least know how to make us root for the finalists for each season.

Honestly if it wasn't how frustrating and inconsistent all our finalists are, especially after Episode 18, I was actually gonna root for Ally regardless, cause despite her insecurities and naivete and issues, she seems like a winner in my point of view for her strategy and ability. It became clear during the second half that they prioritized personal relationships and plot rather than the actual competition, otherwise Grett should have been a finalist.

I was also rooting for Ally since she was kind of my last chance to really care for this season, but of course they shafted her too bc we all know they’re having Jake as the winner. And yes, Grett should have been a finalist since her character was becoming more interesting once Yul was eliminated. And while her development came a bit late into the game, at the very least she had qualities that made us care about her and was more of a rootable character than the ones we were left with.

There’s a point where you have to realize after watching an episode that makes you think of all the inconsistencies and problems with it that it’s bad writing. My self personally I can’t really detect bad writing in shows and movies, which might because I like other episodes or seasons and the show in general that I just don’t want to admit its faults.

You know when I first watched the elimination, I was mad of how it was done. Then I thought back and realized it's so much worse than I first thought. It actively feels like it was slapped onto the rest of the ep and the ep was meant to end differently. For one, there isn't a scene where Riya could've gotten her gems. On top of that, Kristal never checks Riya's bag so we don't even know if she has ten gems she basically kicks Ally out without checking if Riya has actually completed the challenge. But more importantly, it feels like the end result should've been Jake and Ally beating Riya because Ally finally truly decided to work with Jake. She stalls to help Jake up so they can run together hinting to her finally putting her emotions aside to win with Jake....with the end result being that Ally wins the race passing Jake and then there's an almost out of nowhere reason why she's eliminated. There's even the result where she helps Jake which causes her to lose because Jake gets to the finish line before her. But no she passes Jake in the race beating him. This all is honestly why I rate the elimination and the episode differently cause as an episode it's good. Not top tier but it's enjoyable and I liked the interactions. But the elimination is one of the worst and I cannot in good faith rate the rest of the episode lower than it should be because of this absolute BS elimination.

So...here we are. The final episode airs in 5 days. Been a journey. And Jeg is choosing violence in the opening stretch. Never change 😂 Anyways, I dont know the consensus surrounding this episode beyond more mixed to negative reviews. And while I can understand where they're coming from, I wound up enjoying this episode more than I thought and maybe it can be bias or meeting it where it is. Okay, negatives... That letter scene was executed poorly. It might have been better if they were new letters for the final 3, not the same letters from episode 17. The acting and sequencing were fine, it's just dumb to continue the Ally/Jake beef, we're over it. Also elimination was bullshit all the way. I really hate that ONC is prioritizing shock over actual logic. It'd be one thing if there was an explanation for the bag being ripped, but like most auto eliminations, it's not handle with the best care. TD/Survivor may have done it, but that doesn't mean you have to either. In fact, it really got me thinking how easy Riya has been having it up to this point. Don't get me wrong, she's a capable player, but her manipulation tactics are really nothing to write home about. Episode 18 - same issue, just as true here. But it had to be true cause of Ally's own insecurities. Makes you wonder. I also bring this up cause, and I hate to throw this word around, the plot armor is crazy with Riya, being the obvious favorite of the writers. Like in this challenge, she didn't really do much to collect the diamonds other than using Emily's plan to her advantage to cause havoc for everyone else alongside Yul. I just don't find it compelling that Riya has to go to the deep end to get a free pass to the final two. Moving onto Ally and Jake. Probably the best showing of both to date. I know, crazy right? Even beyond context and that letter scene, I got to give it to Jake here. Not even one petty argument. He seemed focus to win and beat Riya. He even wanted Ally to be in the final two, He seemed to finally show respect for her after their heart to heart. Where I thought he would do a selfless act to give Ally the win, he did it to save Fiore, which kinda caught me off guard in a good way (yes, of course Fiore wasn't gonna die, shut up). Also jumping over a damn hole to get a diamond, INSANE. Ally meanwhile, I appreciate the conclusion of her arc. Honestly I may have misunderstood Ally's story and thankfully I have a fan to help me with that. I do think Ally's arc wasn't just the haters or her insecurities or her flipping to the villain's side. It was the desire to be heard and the desire to be proud of the things that you've did without worrying about other people. All of that compounds, but they show the growth of a good character. I do think that's why she was manipulated by Grett and Riya cause they told her want she wanted to hear, positive reinforcement compared to the men who don't understand her (could be perceived as sexist, be my guess). Regardless, despite her bumblings, her finally bonding with Jake especially giving him that talk regarding his suicide attempt and their dead grandparents was touching. I actually teared up 😂. And when she went to help Jake at the cliff, it was cute, showing that this competition wouldn't change them. I agree, it should have been more significant given, well..., but hey Ill take what I can get, she smoothed things over and found her voice. As for the helpers, all of them were solid. Fiore was funny when she can even if she was kinda nerf. Appreciated the Team Rocket energy of Yul and Riya. As for James and Jake, it was fine too. Again, I said giving Yul the redemptive talk would backfire and I'm okay with the understanding that Jake has changed for the better. Whether that's true, honestly up for debate, we still have one more episode to go. But really, the MVPs this episode was Trevek. Can't believe Im saying this as someone who doesn't care for the staff stories nor their relationship, but they did the damn thing. As someone going back to the season, it doesn't surprise me of Emily's villain arc, but I felt it was rushed towards the end and made it seemed Trevor backed off cause the plan didn't make sense or she would probably hurt Derek. Which is not new for Emily pushing Yul and Grett to get spicy for the cameras. Honestly if we want to havw a conversation of main villains being females, I can be here all day and honestly for a redemptive comeback/new couple, it probably could have used more bigger moments, hope we see that in part 2. Overall, look it's been a rollercoaster to get here, but I have faith it will end strong. Ill save my larger issues about All Stars for the retrospectives and how ONC can improve for Season 4. I hope Jake wins, but Im preparing for Riya to win. Trying times lol.

Yeah, I get carried away veeery easily ahahaha thanks, thannks xD I was about to mention this too in the review, Riya's tactics are so basic that they normally wouldn't even work, but given how oblivious and dumb Ally and Jake can be, it makes complete sense for them to fall for them. Had this happened in episode 5 or something though, then I wouldn't have minded, I might even have laughed about it. But this happening in the finale... meeeh, it feels very silly, to say the least Not to mention, this letter thing didn't end up impacting Ally and Jake's relationship for the rest of the episode so I don't see why it was even brought up, probably just to remind us that there's still some tension between them. Ally and Jake were on their best behavior and - would you look at that xD - they were also the most likable they've ever been. I wish their friendship evolved over just a couple more episodes to make it all feel more deserved tho And I do like that take about Ally's journey, it feels like her rivarly with Jake kinda took time away from her personal character journey, which could totally have been explored more in detail than this. And about the Jake suicide thing, I admit the first time around I absolutely did not catch that, I didn't really get what he was even talking about, I thought he was talking about his grandma or something, but after rewatching it a second time it hit me. Ohh Jakey The main villains are females, true, but also most of the best and most interesting characters in general are females imo, especially gen 1 girls (I kinda say this because of my blatant favoritism for S1 campers, of course): Gabby, Ellie, Grett, Fiore, Miriam are all excellent characters that remained strong all throughout All-Stars. One more review and one Grett-rospective to go :o

Say what you want about ONC but their LGBT+ representation is legit good and it's not like the most favorites are women for a good reason, they are mostly well-written. This episode was so lameee, i like jake but EVERYTHING on this ep is so FORCED for he winning... everyone acting like he is awesome, he jumping the cliff, ally bickering over the letter like she is stupid... i was very excited until last ep, but now i just dont care who wins... I thought this was a really fun episode. On the first watch, I ignored all its flaws, even though it was really hard, since I was rooting for Ally and they pulled off that twist that made no sense. I also didn't like how they just left Emily there, it's not even funny. I enjoyed Ally and Jake's bonding, and her arc wrap-up. If you really think about it, the episode couldn't have ended any other way. I do think it is a bit rusehd, but I see it as them realizing this is their last chance at winning, not honoring a promise. Things are allowed to happen suddenly, you know? Someone I really enjoyed this episode was Fiore, surprisingly, and the Minecraft joke was hilarious. Anyway, I thought the final thumbnail was a way of telling us that either Jake or Ally will compete against Riya and there will be a final version after this episode, but Idk. At this point, I'm really rooting for Riya because Jake is still insufferable. And oh wow, your next video will be your 100th, such a nice coincidence. I hope you're doing well >)))

The Emily thing was executed a bit weirdly but it would have been worse if they'd saved Emily tbh. She was the one that brought the scorpions out so it was good to see her get some kind of karma and not have it turn into another Connor/Riya-like thing.

I won't allow it as long as I'm still breathing Fiore honestly stole the show in this episode, I was really rooting for her the entire time... but nope. I didn't mention that in the video, but I was so very disappointed there And yaay cool, I didn't even notice the 100th video thing, it's so fitting for the final review of the season, I love it so much. And I'm doing better, worry not
