Thanks for the Video...I would just run the bolt in till it left a mark on the paint...then use a Center Punch in the center of the mark, and drill straight through that tube. Put a Lock Washer and a Nut on the protruding bolt and call it good....never pull out and no real tension on it...Just my .02...Regards....

Correction....I missed the gusset on the outside of the mount...So just drill through the removable tube...Still won't pull out.

Some quick welding, adding a 2nd sandwich nut or just drilling a hole, any of those would be better than how it is in my opinion.

@@BOOT I agree...I just thought drilling through the tube would be more than enough...but a second nut and maybe a longer bolt would be plenty.

Those stands made like the Jegs example, instead of welding them, I prefer to just drill a hole thru the side that goes all the way thru on the bottom front piece and I just throw a grade 8 approx 1 inch bolt with flat washers and a nut on the inside. Simple, string, and you can still disassemble the stand with ease. Doing that I've never had one slide out even with fully built bigblocks. I come in from the side and catch both pieces. Guy could put one in both sides, but I never deemed it necessary.

Grade 8 bolt approx 1in to 1.5in long and 3/8s diameter.

Couple flat washers tighten up that slop in the rear wheels.

It's different than the HF old one but identical to the HF new style. Aside from paint.

I have some old engine stands made in the 60s and 70s, amazing how much shittier things have gotten. My oldest stands are my niciest. Ball bearing wheels and shit, everything tight tolerances. Nice steel. Old 1970s Lakewood stand i have is probabably better than anything made today. Damn shame.

Got a good one that's USA made back when SAM's club use to sell that brand. Also bought that USA brands jack and used it for 20+ yrs
