Thanks, brother. Sorry about your friend. My buddy and I in the mid 90s used to cover some of your songs in our Christian metal band in Tampa, Fl. (never made it out of the garage LOL) This was one of the songs we jammed. I played rhythm guitar because I sucked at leads. lol.

Man!!! Talking about San Diego and those clubs. I was stationed in San Diego in the 90's and in my off time, I helped a friend's band and they played in some of those places. This friend of mine kinda helped me get started on my guitar playing then. This is the honest truth, Jehovah Jirah was one of the first songs that learned to play by ear. It was the song that also helped me catch on to your tendencies that allowed me to figure out other Big D songs. I sorta lost that ability, but you going down memory lane got me reminiscing those days.

Do you rember what speakers you used to record the Deliverance album? No Time, blew my mind when I bought it in 89'...and still does ! You've been my hero for decades !

I do remember the speakers. I used 2 4X12 cabinets. One loaded with 2 EVm 12L’s and 2 V30’s. The other cab had 2 90W Gold Celestion and 2 Peavey Eminence speakers. It was an odd combo that gave me a “fuzzy chunk” as I used to like to call it! I used two different amps, a Mesa MK II and a MK III… And of course, the Furman PQ3 for some obscure reason. People were using them a lot back then with Boogies as kind of a mid preamp boost. Kinda like a Tube Screamer with the gain set to zero! Except the PQ3 was untamable in preamp mode. So I liked using it as an EQ to shape the sound. But realized after a while, I didn’t need it and it was taking up space in my rack… lol

@@JimmyPBrownII I've waited 30 years to hear this Jimmy, Thank you for creating like you have. I've literally worn out tapes and CD's, listening to your tones and chops over the past 3 decades. Your videos are heaven sent(for me) I nearly stopped breathing when I stumbled across your channel. For me, There's you, Hetfield, Lynch, Eddie....Then, Everyone else. Am star struck you replied, and am forever grateful ~The Klauth.

Hello, you talk about tuning a half step down from 440. I think that is technically standard tuning in 432, at least that is what I have found. I prefer the half step down, but I'm also a hard rock/metal head from way back. I remember a high school buddy giving me Deliverances' self titled album on cassette. Along with Saint, you guys hooked me for life in metal. I have a request - Can I get the lyrics to "Rescue"? I have scoured the net to no avail. Your input is appreciated. I have enjoyed the musical break down videos. Blessings to you.

Hey Jimmy what amp and effects were you using back during the recording of the 1st album? I was listening to Deliverance on my Spotify along with Testament and Slayer old Metallica and your guitar tones were better than all the other bands that are my influences.

Hi Roger… Mesa Boogie MKIIC for the first album. Then switched to MKIII, then Quad Preamp, then the Rectifier and TriAxis Preamp… But all were Boogie as I still use today…
