The mindset of, 'oh look at how bad things are in the world today', is something that is most prevalent in those who have or do live a sheltered ignorant life, and many of these people seem to enjoy looking at the world in this manner for their own messed up reasons (like the JWs wanting their Armageddon/or those who just want to feel like victims of circumstance for some reason). The world has always been a brutal but beautiful place, earth quakes, weather events, murder and such have always been as they are for anyone who has taken the time to study the history of man and this planet, it's just that social media has made it so much easier to see what's happening everywhere without one having to be near said events, smh. Choosing to see everything as bad and/or a threat to oneself, is just a sign of a sick or delusional mind/individual(imho). Thanks for another excellent video Neil. ☺ :-)

It also means things are falling apart to the extent that the organization is no longer in strict control of the aspect of what people think. They can no longer hide behind a pristine reputation. They won't be able to bring in numbers so the doors will close. Question where will the millions of dollars that the witnesses have worked to bring in end up when the doors do close.

Love the video. A question i have that i have especially been for the last year or so is how do you get past trying to make all conversations with people a religious one? As a witness is was stressed to preach to everyone and now I'm an atheist i feel the need or instinct to "witness" for that. What is the best way to just have great conversations without feeling the need to express and proselytize for personal beliefs?

I suggest maybe another hobby. For example, I play Pokemon so whenever I hear someone talking about Pokemon I instinctively react and then we're talking about Pokemon. Hubbies and other enjoyments always help. Tell other people about what happened to you at school/work. Talk about anything. :)

Without trying to upset the faithful I'll tell you. The Bible, New or Old Testament is largely drivel. Almost all of it that is worth bothering with makes the most sense when considered in its own time period, not some bullshit mythical future who knows when. Every prediction and prophecy was directed exclusively for Christians of the 1st century and NO'ONE else. I am NOT saying there is no god, though there probably isn't. I AM saying that discussions about the Bible as holy scripture are some of the worst ways to waste time, behind writing the next great American novel or shooting Heroin between your toes. After saying that I cringe at the years I have spent doing just that.

i remember one witness saying from the platform that the worse jw is better than the very best worldly person because they have the "truth" .....talk about conceited ....it also made me think of the good Samaritan who of course the Jews hated, but the parable Jesus told was the fact that even though he wasn't a Jew his act of kindness was an act of virtue. the old chestnut "when we stop preaching then they'll worry" remember them saying that when i was still in the witnesses. then again i only left 25 years ago.....change the bloody record!!!

I've said before that the real story behind the Waylon? footage was the guy in the back seat. I put myself in his shoes, in a car with someone accused of the worst possible crime, surely the correct reaction is to go back to the accusers house and have him show the evidence. Question: If God forgiven a murderer and allow him to continue ruling as King of the nation of Israel, are we more righteous than God that we shall not also forgive sinners who are genuinely repentant? God did not forgive david. David was forgiven by the priest who claimed to speak for god. That is a political story, nothing more nothing less.

Good question. God can read heart. While human can read only actions. How many time we have to forgive sinner? Not 7 times but according to Jesus 77 times. We shall imitate God, ready to forgive. But trusting someone requires time. We can not read heart. There must be strong reason before we trust anyone. So when trusting or appointing elders with past criminal records, one shall follow what Apostle Paul advised to Timothy. 1 Timothy 5:22 Never lay your hands hastily on any man; neither become a sharer in the sins of others; keep yourself chaste.

You are right, God is not happy. Who is happy? Satan is happy when faithful servant of God commit sin. The question is not about being happy or not? This is about forgiveness. These are the reasons why David was forgiven: 1) He is genuinely repentant 2) He show mercy to others. Those showing mercy will be shown mercy. 3) Because of the Dividic covenant about his future seed to be the Messianic King.
