Hello, it could have even exceeded 10000 mAh with the Panasonic NCR18650G (3600mAh). It depends on the mAh of the 18650 cell that's used. But with most chinese brands you better be critical cause they love to exaggerate. So maybe you'll have to divide that number by 2 to be safe. Sometimes the chinese also sell repacks from second cells as new. Better go watch some China videos. Regards

Could you talk a little bit about the process involved in battery recyclers and how they decide what gets recycled vs redirected to the used market? Are companies like bird lime, etc actually paying recycling places to take these packs and then they are selling them back to the market ? Seems like there is the possibility of some shady dealings. Just wondering if you are able to explain the market in a video, it might be a good chance to attract new viewers.
@68pishta68 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. recyclers will get paid to take these cells off a corporations books so they dont have to hassle with the regulatory fees of disposing of this stuff 'properly'. Its up the recyclers to break these down and separate the wheat from the chaff,. It's a win/win for the recycler, they get paid to take batteries (free inventory) as well as make a buck on the back end, Most of the recyclers are middlemen that will then sell to an offshore scrapper who disposes of this stuff in less than US EPS standards... "Not in my backyard" .

But yes the 100$ unit is a good buy. Don't get tempted to buy the ultra cheap welders, it will blow up and be a waste of money that could have gone to something that works.

That's not completely accurate actually. Different cells have very different discharge rates. Some being very high but most of the popular name brand cells are around 10 amps like the MJ1, BD and a host of others. In a higher power ebike or scooter pack you might find these cells but most likely the BMS is limited to maybe half of the cells discharge rate. So yes he's correct in saying that most smaller 36v 3P packs are probably going to output 7-10 amps ,I wouldn't say it's common knowledge or any industry standard that you should know.

Use it to buck down to 12v or 24v to run inverters, power 12v accessories like USB PD chargers, DC sources etc etc. Going from higher to lower then using a buck converter to lower wattage means you can use thinner wires for runs from batteries to the converters/source and it’ll be fine. For me I’m using 36V to power 12v inverter and USB PD 60-100watt power sources.
