i cry every time loki leaves kratos and when kratos sees the future of him having a statue with followers... god. he so deserved that happy ending. he finally is a god that doesn't invoke violence or war, but love and gracefulness. This ending for him is so perfect, god I'm so happy for him. Happy tears

I lost my father 2 years ago. I was oblivious why this game, and the last of us 2 made me so so sad. In hindsight, duh. They're are two of the best games I've ever played and they both helped me through my grieving process.

Kratos' whole journey is so wild. From being raised as a Spartan, being no more than a weapon of war, to being a father who failed his wife and daughter due to his ambitions, becoming a slave to Ares and commiting countless atrocities along with ultimately killing his family, being mislead by the Olympians and betrayed by them while becoming the new god of war, losing his brother after just finding and saving him, being betrayed by the Olympians again and killed by his father, continously losing all the things he ever cared about (his followers, his army, his city and finally the last person from his hometown who he once again killed by his own hands) to the Olympians, going down a completely self-destructive path and only caring about revenge, destroying his whole world, and then finally after roaming for most likely centuries before settling down in Midgard, falling in love with Faye, having Atreus and learning both how to be a proper father and a good person and then finally overcoming his own nature as a general and god of war and becoming a god who will rebuild the world after Ragnarok. It's crazy just how much he's gone through and Santa Monica studios did an excellent job at writing his story thus far. Really hyped to see where Kratos goes next as his journey as a rebuilder has only begun.

The scene between angraboda and her grandmother broke my heart. Totally underrated scene that probably won’t get much attention because it wasn’t the main part of the story. Obviously the other scenes were sad, but with the other main characters you expect them to be, so they didn’t have the same impact as the grandmother scene did.

This game is one of the greatest examples of true Character development. Writers need to take notice of how amazing it is to see what kratos was ( in everyones eyes in greece a MONSTER ) to now seeing him as a Father figure fighting for "justice"

Same here but for me it was our cat who we had to get put down because she had cancer and I remember coming home from work one day and she was pretty much dying the same way Fenrir was in the game and we had to take her to end her suffering. A few weeks later this game comes out and this scene caused me to think of her immediately and yeah my eyes turned into waterfalls for a bit.

Atreus remains.....I see my son growing up to be a man and in my heart the only thing that remains is the memory when he was small, my son is very independent now and almost doesn't need anymore, that Kratos moment of Atreus remains I can really feel it
