Not to bring hate or anything but even though Mystogan had no magic of his own, his spells seemed far more strong & effective(I'm referring to his fight against Laxus). And also he didn't get hit by Laxus's spells as well, if I remember it was some kinda clone or mirror image that Laxus hit & Mystogan appeared fine. On the contrary Jellal in here couldn't do anything much copying Mystogan's spells & rather got hit into the ground. To me, it's far cooler with Mystogan being Mystogan and Jellal being Jellal. Both are cool in their own original style!

Jellal is highly underrated. He was so powerful that his thought projection became a wizard Saint, he has shown mastery over the greatest variety of magic shown in the series, he defeated Oracion Seis all by himself, one shot Neinhart and even briefly contended against Acnologia, in order to protect Erza and Wendy. He is easily on the level of Gildarts, August and Irene, if a little bit weaker

Just think for a moment at how strong Jellal is. He was strong enough to make his "Thought projection", one of the Ten Wizard Saints. Aswell as he has shown to master the elements (Abyss Break requiring mastery of elemental magic to perform), mastery over Tentai Maho, and was able to learn Mystogan's magic. I think that Jellal is indeed quite more powerful than Jura. Although Jura is no weakling either, but Laxus beat him, and I see Jellal either equally strong or stronger than Laxus.

I don't get why the arena was laughing at Jellal. I mean I get why they thought that his defeat was ridiculous, but still he did show them that he's an awesome wizard. Even if the end was messed up they should've been able to tell that he's skilled just from Meteor and Grand Chariot. Also the fact that he made the Fairy Law OST play proves that he's a real badass, because only the sickest of wizards can use that OST (Makarov, Gildarts, Laxus= point proven).

Jellal wasn't even trying because he was trying to conceal his identity and from what we've seen Guildarts would crush Jellal. One of the things I love in moments like this is to see the different levels of effect on audience members. For example, Erza's hair is blown back, and she looks impressed, but is doing nothing to brace or shield against the effects of the clashes, whereas other characters are taking significant measures to defend against these effects, or even being blown around by them. It puts her in a higher category than them, and she is.

Also, he wouldn't kill everyone in the city if he was trying to help Fairy Tail win the Grand Magic Games. It would be the complete opposite of helping. Jellal's SEMA was shit, it wouln't have taken out Jura, it was barely enough to beat the OS who weren't even K.O' afte that. Gildarts destroyed a mountain casually. Laxus is faster and stronger, Jura said it hadn't felt that excited since a very long time when fighting Laxus implying Laxus gives him a harder time than Jellal did. Laxus being faster was proven when he blitzed Hades several times whereas Jellal couldn't even blitz Jura and was getting hit by his rock while using full speed meteor

Attack Defense Jellal could keep up against Jura with magic that isnt even his. Grand Chariot is one of Jellal´s weakest DC abilities and it destroyed Jura´s greatest defence ( Rock mountain ). So unless Jura´s skin is much tougher than Rock Mountain (lol), Sema will destroy him

I really want them to continue the fairy tail series with a season where it's all about the old ages of magic, before things were forbidden. See some crazy staff wielding, circle drawing, apocalypse casting wizards with long ass beards and robes duking it out in the middle of a split ocean, on fire. Staves seem to be really powerful tools in the series, and they're not seen much. "Forbidden" magic is seen fairly often, and is always devastating, but rarely a reason for why they're forbidden.

Just so u know know Siegrain ( jellals thought projection) at the time was ranked number 4 acording to the author out of the Wizard saints, and that was at least 7 years before this.... so yeah Jellal is very powerful. He is def in the top 3 i think out of everyone at this point in the manga. Jura is only ranked number 5 at this point and this is 7 years later.... So ya... jellal's true Heavenly body magic form would destroy Jura. maybe even Gildarts.We havnt seen his full strength either so hard to tell.
