"I have nothing wrong with people believing in God or having spiritual values, but when one group has a very narrow interpretation of the bible or the Qur'an, or whatever, and decides they should force it on everyone else by bending the law, by harassing people through violence and censorship, I figure it's time to object." Jello is a genius. I wish more people were like this.

JELLO BIAFRA interview on 'Denton' - Australian TV, November 1995 (Part 1) 1941pm 24.6.23 jello also likes the sound of his own voice. so they say. i didnt mind it - his spoken word schtick. though it was a case of preaching to the converted in most cases.... anyhow; the music is the thing - lest we forget.

JELLO BIAFRA interview on 'Denton' - Australian TV, November 1995 (Part 1) 1943pm 24.6.23 you not see the sci-fi museum skit his family run..? it reminded me of where they recorded the early demos of th dead kennedys which, by the way, sound far superior to what passed for authentic dead kennedys...

I was a 17 year old Australian when I saw this on TV in 1995. All I thought I knew about Dead Kennedys were they were some sort of skater band and wasn't looking forward to seeing an interview with a guy called "Jello Biafra", I mean what kind of a name was that? Little did I know how ignorant I was and how this one little interview would change my perspective on music, art the government and so many things going forward. Thank you Denton for being the only commercial television show at the time to give a genius like this airtime in Australia. My life was forever changed.

Thanks for posting this! Quite different from American TV where, if he got on at all, would be interrupted every 30 seconds for an inane question or "joke". Jello's not exactly a shrinking violet, but at least Denton lets him get his point across (not that he could get a word in edgewise!)
