- Keqing is the official one, you can get it from many sites. expensive.

I like that they kept the part where you are motivated to explore by accumulating points, so players who actually "play" the game will almost never have to worry about dailies.

Honestly my biggest gripe was not being able to do dailies using resin like Star Rail (not tryna be toxic) just cuz dailies felt rly repetitive after doing them for 2 years plus so this is genuinely gonna motivate me to play the game actively again.

@@aohou nono you are so right. I allways thought it was weird, since thematically, we are in a guild, and so spending resin "exploring ancient domains" SHOULD Count as a comission of sorts right? But even that aside, if the weekly missions counted why not the resin (thank god we finally got it tho)

The dailies accumulation is big for me. i dont have to plan out how many rewards to claim when doing an event now, and dont need to stress when an event is close to finishing and i wont be able to log on again before it ends and claim everything in one sitting. Huge w for hoyo

i don't think its that big of a deal even for people who actually play the game. If you actually play the game what's 5 to 10 minutes of doing the dailies? When they get rid of time gated progress then that will be a big deal. a 4 star epitomized path would be a big deal. Chronicled wish replacing standard banner with epitomized path for 5 stars and without 50/50 mechanic would be a big deal. Dailies accumulation is bread crumbs for people who actually play the game.

this dev discussion felt so rewarding. Almost everything on it was part of the things I mention on every survey. Especially love the encounter point change because as someone who doesn't touch grass and has done every quest, world quest, hangout and 100%'d every area, I could never get encounter points since I've finished everything that grants them and thus felt almost punished for being someone who put a lot of time into the game.

A tip new players should know is that building Traveler to 70 is a smart idea. No matter what the elemental conditions are, they can be used in the new endgame. Plus, dendro mc is actually pretty good so it isn't a waste of resources.

I'm so glad for Dendro MC because it's offensive how they made hydro traveler, and given the likeliness Pyro MC will be trash as well. Hoyo knows they made a mistake making dendro traveler any good.

My biggest change I would love for the theater, is just allowing us to not be forced to use a full team. Edit: People keep mentioning: “ Having full teams and choosing characters, is part of the strategy for the theater “. For one, everyone has their likes and dislikes and we all have opinions. Second, it’s not like what I asked for is so game breaking. Hoyo could easily implement a penalty for using less characters in a team and we still have the restriction, of only being able to use random support characters, with only two uses. Also, what you call “ strategy “, I call annoying. I completed Act 8 on my first try, so it’s not about difficulty for me. Also if we’re gonna fill the team, with random characters, we won’t use, then it won’t be any different to using 1-2 characters.

@@TheRoleplayer40k no not really since the element restrictions are still the same. It's just that now, we can use a team of two, three, four characters depending of the requirement to clear the floor

​@@TheRoleplayer40k It adds extra strategy, the event they used as a basis for the mode allowed for incomplete teams. They can put penalties such as 5-15% reduced damage dealt or increased damage received per missing party member or spend an extra stamina point if the team is incomplete.

I wish they added ability to spend condensed resin on normal bosses. But I am super excited about all quality of life improvements that they are gonna implement.

I also wish they would double the amount of condensed resin that you can keep. Sometimes, I just want to farm on one day and it would have been nice to have 10 condensed instead of 5

My guess is using condensed resin and original resin for normal bosses wouldn't rlly make any difference. We are basically spending double amount of original resins to get double rewards in domains or ley lines and for both of them, one single run cost you 20 original resins whereas the bosses cost you 40 original resin, that's the same amount for 1 condensed resin. So you aren't rlly getting double rewards for beating a boss one time even if you could use condensed resin (unless they made two different types of condensed resins where one is for the domains and ley lines and the other one is for bosses which would require you to use 80 original resin for 1 condensed resin for the bosses. That'd save time for the bosses too then.)

@@Meh-yb9sw You're looking at from the wrong aspect. Condensed Resin has two benefits. One is that you can chop in half the amount of runs needed for things like artifact and talent book domains. The other is that you can save resin for another day. Say if you don't have time to play right now, you want to get drops from things you'll do from weekly BP stuff that resets tomorrow, or the new patch goes live tomorrow with a new boss for a character you're pulling for. Plus you can also get into a habit of making condensed, and wind up condensing your resin because you went to combine some talent books, and then be locked out of bosses. At the end of the day, we have bosses that cost 40 to loot, and condensed resin that is worth 40... it's just dumb that we can't used condensed on bosses. It's an obvious thing, and it is dumb that either nobody brought it up in house or that a producer nixed it if it was. And dumb that it hasn't been added since then, despite how many times it has likely been brought up by players.

@@Meh-yb9sw It isn't about time savings, but about being able to condense resin today and then use it tomorrow. Plus not being able to use a thing that is worth 40 resin to pay for something that costs 40 resin is just dumb.

@@Axterix13 You're getting the same rewards...that's why I'm saying it makes no difference and that's why I said I guess that that's why we probably can't use condensed resin on bosses. The point of condensed resin is to save your time by giving you the rewards you'd get for two turns. Plus what you said abt being able to save condensed resin today and use it tomorrow (meaning increasing the number of condensed resin we can save), that's what I want too but the OP here wasn't even talking abt that if you read that properly...

I always saw the situation with HSR as them being more cautious with any changes to Genshin since it was the established money maker, but they were willing to see how these changes did in the newer game first for proof of concept.

​@@nargacuga8870It's actually a simple and logical reason, just a lesser known one: Genshin is built on code from 2018. It's a lot easier to build a "new system" from scratch in coding. So testing new systems in the newer game (HSR), and then reverse engineering them back into the old code (Genshin), so it doesn't retroactively break everything, is a lot easier to do resource wise.

Fontaine update had that huge code optimization. Being from FGO whose spaghetti code interferes with QoL frequently, that big update is itself a big reason for the qol now.

they said that the code was chaotic before the lantern rite 4.4. So they took a long time to optimize the code and as we see after that we get frequently more QoL and also better QoL.

This happened because of WuWa and upcoming open world games They improve drastically to not bleed paying costumers. Internal competition is non issue since money still goes to them.

Lol same. Every time I'd play a boss, it takes 1 minute to respawn.. So I'd go and play world quests cuz otherwise that 1 minute feels like an hour for some reason but then when I play world quests, I end up forgetting abt the boss...so it'll be so much better now with only 10s time for respawn.

Things that would somewhat fix the game: 1 free permanent 5 star and a path to get it sometime. Posibility to obtain past event weapons. Rerun of past events for people who didn't do them.

These changes started back in 3.7, and were directly linked with Honkai release.. Example being the thing when you click on a given quest/daily, and it'd open the map, and show you exactly where it is(which HSR had, Genshin didn't), followed, not that long after, by the new dailies system(a copy of Honkai's, but improved). As far as the IT goes, there are already leaks coming out talking about two new acts, and more monthly rewards(basically even-ing it with the Abyss). What a lovely video! It's nice to see someone not just assume that it's all to do with WuWa as updates are planned ahead - not to mention certification on ps4/ps5 :3

From what I remember, dev discussions like this suddenly popped up after 3.6 ended, which was right after HSR released. Dev discussions used to be a thing VERY early in the game but stopped since then. So either the devs suddenly remembered about these after HSR released, or a chunk of the OG genshin dev team came back after working on HSR for years. A lot of changes seem to be from HSR as well like revamp of daily commissions, hide UI, imaginarium theatre, dialogue list, and fast boss respawn. Considering how these changes came after Fontaine's release, I'm inclined to believe that they are using HSR to update Genshin's old systems and rewrite them to keep all of Hoyo's games upto date. It could also be internal competition

The main thing I want to see brought over from HSR/ZZZ is the 5-star selector at 300 standard banner pulls. In fact I'd take it a step further and add a 4-star selector every 75 pulls. (And having the counts be retroactive for existing players would be awesome, but probably too much to ask.)

The only part that I personally want the most and I’m sure it was heavily demanding is the Event Archive. What they showed the upcoming event and the previous ones were put much into effort and I don’t like when it’s locked behind limited time event especially the critical lore that was in there.

I started playing in 4.7 and it makes me so sad I won't ever get either the fish claymore or be able to play thru the interdarshan championship. Sure you can watch the cutscenes but it's not the same....

I'm with Jello on the competition part. On the 11th of June WuWa celebrated 30 mio downloads. That was around 3 weeks after the release. Today zzz celebrated 50 mio downloads. Only two days after the release! Never underestimate internal competition.

And don't get me wrong, I am not hating on Wuwa. I bought the monthly and the battle pass there and still playing even though I said I'd quit after ZZZ. Just saying.

@@a-passerby that's downloads, not active players. same way Palworld was one of the highest selling paid games but its active playerbase is not over 30M, not everyone will play, not everyone will stay.. but 50M downloaded it and that's the main focus for them, shows that its well received.

maybe 1 per account near the end of the first few ares or when you hit AR40 or so, if you get a free one every year then what is the point in having 5 stars be the exclusive power and the older players will have a massive power creep and be bored with it, or the free 5 stars will be like QiQi and barely any use in most end team comps.

The Mechanic to "push specific characters" is one of the options inside the IT. You spend your points to get one of the characters on your roster, but it's like 1 out of 3 and only one element. I feel like they will flesh it out and have something like "Sub-DPS, Main-DPS, and Support" so its not literally just random element

im actually most excited for the hide UI, i like to play on the steam deck OLED and having the UID constantly on the screen makes me worry about burn-in. If it lets you turn that off it would be amazing

All the whales that have been hoarding their starglitter, are going to be able to buy over 3 copies of a 5*. It would be amazing! but i doubt it.... hoyo has always been stingy when it comes to genshin. If it does happen, it would only let you buy standard 5* characters

I like the envisaged echo mode, I hope it can turn into a way of "practicing" how to play the characters w/o the pressure of it being in endgame modes - it reminded me of the Domains meant to teach us game mechanics in the beginning, very cute

I think by ‘lack of sufficient positive responses for various party lineups during battle’ they mean ‘okay yeah some of the individual round criteria can be a _little_ tricky to get the hang of depending on what characters you can use’, like say having to slot Faruzan into a team with no Anemo DPS simply because you haven’t gotten access to one yet (ik Wanderer is available by default but it’s not always the best to use him in act 1)

I don't care about a free 5 star. we get that every month or so with the normal gem rewards anyway. But small things like being able to disable constellations, which they could probably implement in a week of dev time, would be very nice. Or being able to load specific premade teams into abyss instead of having to put them together by hand each time. And being able to associate an artifact loadout set to a specific team, so changing teams also changes the artifacts and weapons potentially. I think these are relatively small things that can go a long way.

I was the one who repeatedly suggest have a recorded dialogue feature along with a skipable button. I heard nothing about adding a skip button. 1 of 2 is good enough for me. I also suggested adding a poop icon just like a lockpad icon on artifacts so we can seek faster without looking at it twice.

Once they implement faster refresh time for resin and add an overcap storage, I’ll be happy. Because if you miss a day, you lose out on resin. It’s so dumb that they haven’t done this yet Edit: Since this is attracting salty people for whatever reason, let me say this: It will not affect you at all if you play every day and stay on top of your resin. I personally play every day myself because I don’t have a life (don’t really have a choice either), but it *would be nice* to have some storage if you already have 5 condensed resin and can’t play right away when your resin is about to cap. If you want to be toxic about it, go somewhere else. Really unnecessary, good lord

Resin economy is unlikely to change, however resin overflow could perhaps be implemented. Still unlikely, because crafting condensed resin is basically our 1 day overflow (lmao). I remember when I kept doing this and running out of crystal flies.

@@planetary-rendez-vous I mean, we thought resin cap wouldn’t increase when it’s been 160 for 3+ years, now it’s been raised to 200. You never know with Genshin now because of competition. And crafting condensed resin =/= an overflow cap. If you decide to keep 4-5 for a day, that’s all you can keep until you use em. An overflow cap is letting a portion of resin go into a storage if you’re unable to log into the game for a bit, even if you have condensed resin already made

I'd go weeks or even months without spending resin. Being able to have a backup pool of resin when i actually feel like grinding would be so nice. If they already have it in HSR, why can't they just copy and paste that QoL into Genshin?

Even if they don't have an overflow feature, removing the 5 CONDENSED RESIN CAP would literally solve all our problems. I would love to take a break from the grind and just condense all my resin. Once im ready to actually grind, i would potentially have 50+ condensed ready to go!

Some good changes, though they still have a long way to go. My thoughts: 1) Theater changes - good, but honestly, as long as it is once and done, monthly reset, I pretty much don't care that much. It's just a monthly 15 minute event, rather than an actual game mode. That said, no mention of the 15 usage cap for friend characters... hopefully that's one aspect they address. 2) Daily commission skipping good, for newer players, but, when it comes to commissions, as a long time player, it, again, isn't something I really care about, and has the potential to be the reverse. It shortens the daily game play for a game that already has jack all for me to do. And it doesn't help with the daily commission aspect that annoys me the most, and that's things locked behind commissions, like achievements and certain quests. Worst of those, the Sumeru ones that lock quests in both Sumeru and Fontaine. Although being able to skip some of those really bad/annoying commissions Sumeru has will definitely be nice. And they definitely still have a long way to go, QoL-wise. To list just a few things: 1) Artifact RNG... too much of it. 2) 2 sets drop per domain... means 50% are garbage drops on so many domains, makes so many domains inefficient to farm. This just needs to go not just for "too much RNG" reasons, but also to open up what domains we run. 3) 3 types of talent books, 3 types of weapon mat drops, 3 different drops per weekly boss... just annoyances that don't need to exist. Just give us a single drop instead of three for all of these. 4) Weekly bosses... make the first 3 free, and let us run the same boss 3 times for rewards if we want. It's stupid that the first character to use a new boss is so gated talent-level wise. 5) No end game worth speaking of. For example, can't even voluntarily up my WL above 8, despite WL 8 being so trivial in most of the over world that my Ning can one shot most camps with a single elemental skill. 6) With WuWa out, climbing speed needs to go up. 7) Four star character access. There are so many now, that getting them, getting cons for them, is just a pain. The whole "c6 for 4 stars" a lot of CC use for videos and stuff is basically invalid at this point. For newer players, you can't assume that, and how much time passes before a "newer player" isn't that as far as this goes keeps extending. For older players, you can't assume it for newer four stars or the ones tied to certain 5 stars. 8) Access to past events/event-weapons for newer players. I have all the weapons and stuff, but it sucks for newer players. Either re-run the events as they were, re-run them in a shortened version with some reduced overall rewards, or add the ability to play past expired events for at least the key stuff like the event weapons and gizmos. 9) Still cannot use condensed resin to pay for ascension bosses, despite them costing 40 resin. Suffice it to say, while the quantity of changes is better than it used to be (because it isn't hard to top "basically none"), they can definitely keep making obvious/badly-needed change after obvious/badly-needed change for quite a while still. As to changes often being borrowed from HSR, I think a lot of that also has to do with shared code base. They know it is possible with their underlying code, and they can share knowledge.

I actually DON'T want Imaginarium Theater to be based off of the normal elemental reactions & teams we already use for Spiral if that's the direction they're taking... I WANT a reason to play the less ideal characters so it would've been so cool if there were special mechanics/buffs that create a synergy between characters you'd normally not put on a team together It is a character collecting & building game, I want a reason to use them all but if it's just based on the elemental reactions and synergies we already have, then it feels just like an event game, to me at least.

Now the best thing to do next is to make some of the commission quest to be world quests. We used to ask to be able to pick commission quest for those pesky ones that just won't appear. But now that commission quests are basically almost never used by midgame and late game players, it might be a good idea to just turn them into world quests.

The only thing I need for genshin is a reserved resin system like in Honkai Star Rail, you can save up to 2400 resin that way, that you can later use whatever you want, while in Genshin you have to spend resin everyday in case of "fear" of missing out :/, it's a pain in the ass

Hi, i did read a lot of comments about the competition and different code issues that were lowering the frequency for QoL changes but i think a lot of people misunderstand how a game development cycle works, and what role the directors take in it. Games like Wuthering waves have been looming theirs arival for quite a while, so internal work on better QoL changes was already in full swing for around 4 months at very least. Please remember that we know that CCP did allow both ZZZ and WUWA to be released not later then the end of 2024, so by the time of the bill the games were already done around 70%, and this bill was like 6 or 8 months ago. Devs in genshin are good, yes, there are some questionable things that they have done but the overall quality is good to say the least. On the other hand we have the director board that has to approve all the game changes, and here might have been the problem. Since Genshin was earning then money and there was no real competition in the genre ( i do not count HSR since it's like a completely different audience), so they were hesitant to push anything that might lower their income ( i know , true loot goblins just like the directors at Bungie ). But since both ZZZ and especially WuWa did look promising at the times of their betas this year, the directors had to swallow the pill and take some decisions, such as releasing some QoL changes early even if they were planned for 5.x version or not planned at all since they were "too drastic". And the success of WuWa did aid in it. If you thinks it didn’t, then us as a community faild miserably at the aspect of making devs listen, 3 wishes for example of their hane directors respect towards us. ZZZ is still lacking in my opinion, however i think the devs will cook up something and that the directs are already being spanked by shareholders. As for me, i will keep playing wuwa since i like their combat system more, however for you all wuwa haters i can say only one thing:" the only one to kill a game is their developer" - by Bungie. CYA STARSIDE.

WuWa was the first that actually challenged it and forced their hand. The reason why changes like these hasnt been made after al l this years is because there wasn't really a reason to. People will keep playing no matter how unoptimized the game is.

My gripe about the storage management thing is that you can KNOW about the clear the past quests button, but if you get locked out from even logging into the game to access it after an update, there's nothing you can do. I think that button should also be accessible from the home screen, and returning players should have an option to automatically not download past quest resources. This is my idea after I got locked out of my account a year ago because of an update (that I would've had enough storage for had I been able to clear the past quests I had done a few days before the update) and had to give up on Genshin for a year before I found geforce now

this... plus also let ppl choose not to download FUTURE game contents until they needed it.. otherwise new players will have problems running the game cos they don't have any past contents they can clear.... but you don't expect them to be playing some of the quests anytime soon like sumeru and fontaine archon quests and story quests that require the completion of these archon quests.. so why not only download these contents later...?

My biggest issue with the new mode is that it forces you to use some of your very best characters right off the bat rather than save them for harder bosses toward the end of your run.

Yeah I can see that a problem for user like to save up for a really long time to only aiming for their favior character to get to C6. Most user not going to make more then 2 main DPS. Reason that they mostly focus on abyss only need to 2 team set only. Imaginarium theater kind a force user to make way more character and teams then normal with weird team set up. In my case. I have to much character to work with in a small amount of times.

@@TerraTheWise eh, think whatever you want. It’s more WuWa than internal competition for me. 200 resin & new endgame content (imaginarium theater) were released during WuWa’s launch. While IT takes time to design, it was STILL released around WuWa’s launch. 200 resin too-why release during WuWa’s launch? Adding extra 40 resin doesn’t need YEARS to implement. why didn’t Genshin do 200 resin around HSR’s launch or within the first 3 months of HSR? While internal Hoyo competition can be valid, i firmly believe it’s the arrival of WuWa that really pushed Genshin devs/Genshin director to be less complacent. I’m glad WuWa lit a fire underneath the butts of Genshin team. WuWa is gaining so much good traction and I know they will overtake Genshin eventually. Genshin had 4 years to really improve QoL changes. Just rubs me the wrong that they’re just doing these major QoL changes now that WuWa is here and is doing a far more excellent job at listening to player feedback in just 1 month than Genshin ever did in 4 damn whole years.

I love the encounter points system change so much. I hated it that when doing quests, I had to split it for like three days for dailies, now I can finally play them in one day and collect the encounter points for the next days

4:51 I’m SO glad they’re adding a way to backlog encounter points like this, and this whole section resonated with me. I’ve certainly noticed the shortened events and brought it up in a survey, it’s especially bad if you’re on a trip or something and can’t play like normal for a week or two. I’ve also been marking chests and saving quests to get easy encounter points for the companionship it provides, helping get characters to 10 without having to actually power them up for fighting commissions. I hope these changes are as good as they sound 🤞

I think it is a nice quality of life change, though. With Genshin's slow recharge rate, the extra cap adds a decent amount of RL time, which eases the need to log in quite a bit. And it is really nice in relation to the daily battlepass "spend X" resin goal, since now it is much easier to manage having enough to do that while also not needing to worry as much about capping your resin. For me, I'd say it has been one of the more impactful QoL changes, right up there with the sending the same characters out on expeditions again option, and I was expecting it to be basically worthless. Also, WuWa nicely highlights how/why recharge rate doesn't really matter. What matters is how much you can achieve/progress with the daily recharge rate's worth of points. Or to put it another way, Genshin could half the resin costs of things, and you could do 2x as much. They could also double everything resin rate related, and while we would then gain 360 resin a day, nothing would change, because everything costs 2x as much.

Which is because it both is a good change and because there's so little competition for those top slots. Also worth noting that the other change I mention, the expedition one, was A) a super obvious thing to improve QoL, and B) took forever for them to implement. I am not a fan of Genshin's dev team, to a degree that I will not play any other Hoyoverse product. Also, note how here you say your actual problem... the amount of time for building a team. That can be improved by giving us more resin, either through faster regen or through something like events giving out fragile resin as rewards (which is most definitely something that events should do). But it could also be improved by reducing how much resin it takes to build a character. Lots of things that could be done in that regard... first 3 weekly bosses free, rather than a 50% discount. Can do the same weekly boss multiple times (always sucks when we get the new weekly boss and a character that uses it at the same time). Reduced artifact RNG. Ascension mat bosses at WL8 always drop 3 of the item. Those sort of things. This is why it is important for devs to think about what the actual underlying issue is, rather than what players often complain about on a more surface level. And also for players to, whenever possible, think about what their actual issue is, rather than something a step or two removed.

My opinion is, they should do some changes with resin because I'm kinda a new player. I started last November. So I'm playing for 7 months. I have 13 Lv90 characters and only 3 of them are good built. Some of them are average built, some aren't even built yet. Artifacts system is so RNG and resin is too low for the players who wants to play this game. I completed all the other Archon, world, story and hangout quests already. Maxed out every statue, %100 exploration on every region. Now I wanna focus on improving my characters but I can't, even if I want to because resin is too low. Gathering boss materials for level up takes 4 or 5 days, then you have to grind their talent books on 2 or 3 different days, then you should level up their weapon which takes 2 different days, you'll also need exp books and mora for all of this that means you should grind those for 1 week too, then here comes the hard part which is Artifacts. I know it will be a short period of time for many players but I've been grinding on Marechaussee/Golden Troupe domain for 2 months and still my Neuvillette and Furina is in between bad and average. When will I get a time to improve my other characters? To me, it's just frustrating. They think if I get everything in short period of time then there will be no reason for me to play and I disagree with that but I can understand it. Thing is every week I want to play Genshin less and less because there is no improving, here is no progress, there is no step forward for me for 2 months. They should do some changes about that imo so we can play the game we like more. I mean I want to play Genshin Impact. :D It's okay if I have bad luck, I'll try more until I get what I want but I can't even try without resin. It's just stupid.

10:50 I don't think they that as much of internal competition as they do of the deluge of openworld gachas that are coming this and next year. Azure Promilia probably scares hoyo much more than WuWa does, Azure Lane (made by the same company) apparently is extremely F2P friendly, making most of their monetization through skins rather than characters. And there are more of this sorts of games incoming.

3:15 they mean that the current "push certain characters" effect is so subtle that the outcome isn't ideal at all meaning the push isn't actually significant enough to really influence character selection

A mechanic to push specific characters means allowing characters to be obtained or pushed to more stages as Vigor only lets characters be allowed to be in two stages only, which does give more flexibility.

Artifact system needs a rework. We can't deny and should not forget that. Even if it is just all elemental damage bonus instead of specific. They need to change something.

I mean, before Wuwa, HSR was basically the "actual Genshin killer" since it took a lot of the Genshin playerbase which keept the Genshin could never move shoved in Genshin players with each update or notice, so yea I agree about the internal competition.Genshin is also still missing the 10x pull per update though, it is insane how they just don't do it after being clowned for years and now even by his sister game HSR.

They are about to casualize the shit out of Imaginarium theater. I don't see them making it more challenging, when the main complaint is. It's too hard, Cuz i don't wanna build new characters. Where was this reaction when Pure Fiction released in HSR?! It's an even worse character check for a game not even a year old! 😒

Since the majority of Genshin players don't even bother with Spiral Abyss, it's no wonder why the main complaint is about difficulty. They're used to just having a very casual experience with the overworld. It doesn't help that up until now, Genshin has promoted vertical investment and not horizontal investment.

I have an idea that I think would be a neat direction for the Imaginarium Theater. "props". Where there are basically trial weapons and artifacts that you can use on your characters or the trial characters. Say for example they make a dendro/pyro/hydro theater, they can have trial artifacts of the new burning set, deepwood, crimson witch, and such. And they can have 5* and some gacha-only 4* weapons as options that can be selected too. Since unless someone is a long time whale, there is no way a player will have every gacha weapon and every artifact set of every type built out for every character that will use it. This will allow them to make the game mode harder for whales/veteran players and allow newer players the ability to use items that they haven't been able to get yet. It will shift the mode to be more reliant on skill than just volume of characters. If they provide enough semi-decent artifacts/weapons along with enough trial characters then they can lower the bar for entry slightly while also raising the skill floor required to be able to complete it. Make it more of a character/game knowledge and skill at combat check than character count check. Also on a side note, the new long term encounter points is a huge blessing... I have 5 accounts, and now I can just play one at a time and build up the points and log into the other ones for just a few seconds (condense the resin) or like 5 minutes (run a few domains or kill a few bosses) and clear out dailies as well. I'm so excited about that feature. It is annoying having to spend so much time on dailies to not miss out on the primos on those accounts to save up for a character that I'll be pulling on it months down the line...

The encounter points thing is huge if you have an unlimited cap, super helpful for people who like to rush all the freemogems from exploration as soon as a new area drops! Also happy they realized that Imaginarium Theatre was undercooked. I can't imagine that their beta testers didn't tell them this so it could have been avoided, but correction after the fact is better than no correction at all!

My biggest complaint about the theater as someone who didn't have enough characters built is the trial characters. I just didn't find them very useful at all. I don't expect them to allow me to clear hard completely but I was unable to clear Floor 6 because my remaining characters just weren't good enough. On the other hand, Normal got absolutely steam rolled by my characters.
