He is already in T1 and that is perfect for a really good 4 star who is becoming less and less a best in slot for different teams. Fischl should be T0 too, but besides quicken (maybe overload too) teams she doesn't synergise with many other ones. Similarly, why would you use Xingqiu when you can just pull Yelan or Furina? New players may not even have him mind you, this is what Zajef constantly forgets and why always overrates him :D

Xilonen isn't even a buff to neuvellite especially at C0 , zhongli E is faster to get than xilonen E and burst , also his res shred lasts longer and he have amazing shield not getting interrupted every sec , zhongli > 10% dmg increase

I've been a Yanfei main for a year now and I have accumulated the Furina/Yelan/Bennet team and my Yanfei consistently does ~100k per vape. The common consensus is that she is an "ok" unit or "not that great", but I play her regardless cause I like her so It was quite a pleasant surprise to hear your take.

no, the common consensus are filled with people who tried her playstyle, didn't like it and who moved on without realizing the type of damage she did. I recognized her for what she was when i was prefarming for hu tao. i used yanfei as a hu tao analogue and built yanfei with basically the stuff i needed for hu tao. while i had ER issues because hu tao doesn't really need er, yanfei was just a titan in a proper vape team and i couldn't believe the "general consensus" that rated her like a lower mid tier 4*. When Ga'ming came out i was like "um guys... you do know yanfei does like the same dps as vape ga'ming right?" and as i said. the meta chasers who dismissed her for her admittedly unfun playstyle couldn't believe what i was saying. No... seriously. yanfei and ga'ming are remarkably similar in dps. i'm glad jellow is starting to realize it. now we gotta wake him up to the fact that Navia and Xilonen are doing almost identical damage to Mualani without all the akwardness as mualani... cause while i get his love for her, I'm kicking out basically the same dps with a basic navia, bennett, furina and xilonen team as i was with mualani, candice, xiangling, and xilonen

I just dont buy Keqing and Tighnari not being T1.5 Tighnari got me a 35 seconds PMC clear yeasterday for example. And they both perform better than many of the 1.5 ones in the list... Keqing also work very well with Xilonen...

Emily without her weapon is honestly very mid. Emily is never BIS in any optimal team including kinich. Characters like furina are just so much better. Emilys damage also isn't very extraordinary, it's only 123% of chioris damage with two contructs and nobody plays chiori.

I think the tier 1.5 is reasonable, but say that she is one of the more underperforming characters in tier is a bit much when saying that noelle is better than her (and this is coming from a geo stan too).

I think Chiori should go up a tiny bit instead if down. She got a cinder city buffer with a construct in Kachina an if you got C1 then she can abuse Xilonen instead. Her geo cores got so much better. Also this is kinda stupid but C2 Xilonen is so good with Goro as to justify bumping him up, though maybe not a full tier.

Love your videos and tier lists. While I usually agree for the most part with the placements, I think Mualani is getting at least a bit overrated here. Her damage might be pretty good, but it lacks consistency (compared to characters like Arlecchino and Neuvillete). Also, might just be personal opinion but to me Mualani feels extremely clunky to play and doesn't do nearly as well against multiple enemies than a single target. I think it'd be justified to put her in T1 but not T0. Don't get me wrong when she works she feels very good and is an amazing character, but I think her weaknesses make her deserving of a spot in T1, not T0. I wouldn't classify her as one of the best units in the game.

The hottest new take has gotta be lowering arlecchino a tier below neuvillette. She out dpses him and comes with a lot of the same comfort, but counters most enemies better because shes pyro (hydro tulpa, thunder manifest, baptist, icewind suite, mountain king, plus the geo ones if you consider her overload teams). She doesnt heal as well but comes with natural damage resistance even at c0. Neuvillette is more comfy for new players for sure but that shouldnt warrant putting him a whole tier higher than arle

she still requires you to dodge and play the game with half a brain so that makes her worse. with xilonen and kazuha on neuvilette teams you dont even have to care about most shields. with 76% res shred even if the enemy puts on something like ice armor and boosts there resistances neuvilette with kazuha and xilonen just doesn't care. tulpa is basically the only thing that can stop him.

Going by jstern's calcs, Neuvillette with Xilonen calcs upto 95k dps played optimally. His unoptimized calcs are still above Arle. She is not above him in dmg now, but Mualani sure is.

I appreciate your input on the characters. I do want to say though I think you underestimate grouping. just for an example even though most people wouldn't think to use an anemo character with kinich venti's aoe enables kinich to be consistant in aoe with incredible skill multipliers hitting all the enemies. and the swirls for the pyro do a non zero amount of damage and enable bennet as solo pyro. not only kinich benefits greatly from grouping though. otherwise pretty good takes thanks for the video

I think Xilonen has a strong case of edging out Furina here. Her own self sustainability and ease of use is so massive. Being able to res shred 36% and 65.6% dmg bonus (with signature) AND healing? Its just busted, and i think for most people shes a better unit to have than Furina who can be a bit clunky to play without a proper healer and certain teams. EDIT: plus her artifact building is WAYYYY more accessible than building a decent Furina.

I kinda disagree with the philosophy of how the tiers were made here. A unit should be ranked as itself and only take into consideration external factors secondary. Kinda how weird it feels looking at how you upgraded Ningguang to be on par with Itto because of Xilonen. That's an "outlier", and it doesn't paint how good a unit is in general.

Use Venti in Imaginarium Theater where you can't guarantee everyone has access to a Fav Weapon and then tell me he's a bad unit. Homedog is only beaten by Raiden Shogun as a battery which is why the average Ayaka holdout still uses him over Kazuha because they can't be asked to go for ~140+% ER on her.

I am still worried about Xilonen since there could be so many good Cinder City users in the future. So much of her value is tied up in an artifact set that she isn’t even that good at using. Edit: To elaborate since people aren’t seeing what I am, I value elemental application a lot in this game, which is something Xilonen offers non of, it is possible that another Cinder City holder applies their element in such a way with other benefits that can push Xilonen out of a lot of her generalist teams. Good enough elemental application with benefits can absolutely out-value Res Shred and heals. I don’t think she’ll ever get pushed out of Navia teams, but I could see it happening to all her other ones. She also can’t proc Cinder City from off field, this only makes rotations less flexible, which isn’t really a big deal, but to me it just doesn’t make her QOL as much of an upgrade from Kazuha’s as I’ve seen people saying, you just have to crystalize off the right aura instead of swirling off the right aura.

She still healing and she still res shread. It is true thet new set users could be a problem, but it is really depends what thei'r kit is. + Xilonen value for geo characters will be unmatched simply because you can't crystalise only with geo units.

She enables furina(dmg%), and has built in guaranteed res shred, you cant miss a double shred like kazuha or sucrose. Kazuha res shred is tied to his set, painful to farm, and you can get be used by any other anemo. The only "fear" for xilonen is that if mauvika is OP, she is the better Cinder user and might boot xilonen, but she can literally run any other set at artifact level1 (noblesse, instructors, the two zhongli sets)and have the same utility.

It's a good point that you'd prefer she be an element that can vape or melt for many teams, but Xilonen's cons are really good. If she's not buffing enough for your taste, pull her again until she is. C2 is obviously amazing, C3 is good for making her better at res shred than VV, and her C4 is comparable to Shenhe's entire E skill added to your rotation for free.

Xilonen is not good at using Cinder or you don't know how Cinder works. Apply your Main DPS element to the enemy then Xilonen E, hit twice then you already procc Cinder via Crystallize reaction.

I’m not sure if it was accidental or not, but I like the way the T2 resistance to interruption are mostly placed above pure healers (Kirara over Yaoyao, Beidou over Dori) The Imaginarium Theatre is forcing me into really clunky rotations, so I’m intentionally letting my shield tank hits. (For example, no Theatre AOE encounter will let me use a Sara skill + wait for buff + burst into Lisa hold skill consistently without a crowd control attack coming in.)

I have C2 R1 Nuevillete and C2 R1 Kinich. What I've noticed is that both scale well, but Kinich is a much steeper improvement. At C0 and even C1 he feels ok, but at C2 he feels top tier

Honestly, at the end of the day, meta or not, Genshin is really a game where you should just play the characters you love or feel most comfortable with. Zhongli and Kokomi have been a staple on most of my teams for a very long time simply because of comfort - as someone who does not really play for combat reasons.

Yunjin should move up at least one tier in your list. She received a huge DEF% increase with the Natlan polearm, and now Xilonen complements her Buff and ER very well-something Kazuha simply couldn't do well.

Hydro Rules! I have these 5 star limited characters and I am F2P: Arrlechnio, Mualani, Xilonen, Kazuha, Ayaka, Raiden, Zhongli, Tartaglia, Nahida, Yelan, Hu Tao, Navia. I have 8 5 Star weapons. and all Standard banner 4star and 5 star charcters Been playing since 2022 with a few gaps in between.

Ngl man I think you're underrating Arlecchino a bit and overrating Mualani a lot when comparing her to Neuvillette. She feels strong for sure but she's not as close to Neuvillette as you're making her out to be. Neuvillette's damage potential even in single target isn't that much lower than someone like Mualani now over a whole rotation, and that's really the only content she's competitive with him in. On my account my C2R1 Mualani feels worse than my Arlecchino but that's probably account dependent.

Neuvillette’s single target damage isn’t just a little worse than Mualani’s. Mualani significantly gaps him at high levels of investment, just check out how their C1/C2 abyss speedrun times differ. And yes speedrunning isn’t the best metric but it does paint the picture.

@@thepieguyftw Per screenshot yes, per rotation no. Her actual DPR isn't significantly higher than Neuvi's in their best teams if at all. The reason she clears so fast in speedruns is because in situations where things go well, she has extremely high frontloaded damage. Sigewinne is literally a TAILOR MADE healer for the best support in the game, Furina, and she somehow scores lower than Kokomi? how? Kokomi's good but many DPS characters appreciate Sigewinne's lesser on field time. Kokomi either forces you to play around her jellyfish (which is fine if you are playing Yoimiya or Sethos) OR takes up valuable field time DPS characters would need in order to build fanfare stacks. Sigewinne has NONE of these issues and not to mention passively buffs Furina's own damage.

Sigewinne is useless without furina. (charlotte is a better sigewinne if you don't use furina). Kokomi has bloom ayaka and her jelly fish can heal for 8k plus which is enough for furina fanfare. Sigewinnes max buff amounts to barely 80k damage at 65k hp or around 50-30k at lower investment.

I would move all the cryo characters up, due to having additional 60% crit damage (because Xilonen should be at least C2.) The synergy with Shenhe is insane - between the two of them, they buff nearly every aspect of the damage formula through the roof. I'm getting easy 30 seconds per chamber clears with monocryo Ganyu now.

Yanfei getting the recognitation she deserve and I think putting Chiori lower is so-so decision. Personally I think Kachina was a great help and I prefer the Noelle, Furina, Kachina, Chiori team over Noelle, Furina, Yelan, Xilonen. Generally better energy managment for Noelle and little bit better AoE because the two doll can hit more frequently different enemise and Chiori have AoE in her burst.

Xilonen doesn't do anything in anemo and dendro teams (unless you have her sig weapon), Furina buffs ALL elements including physical damage. Kinich in a pseudo burning team with Furina feels the most impactful (from my testing) especially since burning also helps furina vape all her vaporizable hits. Furina feels really good in anemo DPS teams and who knows she might be again BiS for an upcoming anemo DPS right "GUYS"... Furina just having good unconditional no circle impact off-field damage while also buffing all damage (except for transformative reactions) just makes her overall better than most if not all characters in genshin.

I'm sad about venti. I hope they can rework him or just give him the archon status he deserves.I don't think they would even need to change much for him to be usable again. If they made his skill nock up all enemies, even just a little bit for 'heavy' ones (but he's an archon so I don't think people would really question the physics) and added a taunt to his burst so that enemies who can't be lifted would still walk towards it anyway, it would be a lot better

I do feel like there's a bit of an unfair assessment when it comes to Yae and Fischl. The second there's more than one enemy in that room, Yae winds up being a bit better. This feels more like a tier list that's best noted as a single target tier list rather than in general. Fischl also needs her C6 for the gap to actually be that wide. That specifically seems pretty egregious, but that aside, the rest looks about right. Xingxiu moving down is also a bit questionable because he does at least offer interruption resistance, but the question these days is if you need that. I guess that depends on your play philosophy though.

Yae is still single target lmao, in agrv teams fishl does more dmg 90% of the time and when you are replacing someone you are replacing the other electro due to fishl a4. In keing agrevate fishl does more damage unless you have c6 keqing with hyper invested single character supports.

I feel like Nahida can drop down a tier maybe. I really like her - she was my first ever 5* (started in 3.6) and I still think the Sumeru archon quest is the best story in the game so far. But she is only really essential for Alhaitham and Nilou these days. I think if you have Yelan there's so many other teams you'd rather play her in than Nahida teams. She's still really good for newer players though - she hard carried me through the game and first few 36* but I never really play her now. I just got Dehya C3 so i will most likely make a burgeon team with her soon.
