Jellyfish were interesting in the fact that they actually became more popular after the band broke-up (sort of like the Velvet Underground). They're more beloved now than they were in 1990

great point. They came about in a transitional time in music, guitar rock came back and hip hop and new jack swing where in. These guys sounded like 1975. I think if they came out now they would be massively popular because talent is lacking in pop music, songwriting and ace musicianship are not happening much.

Not me and my twin brother! (We're musicians) We immediately feel in love with this band and caught them 3X live here in Seattle. We also bought their whole catalog of official releases. I could not figure out how they were not a bigger sensation, but for all that crappy Grunge shite that was being peddled at the time.

I was at this show on my birthday! Faulkner is credited on the album, but he only played the sleigh bells and triangle...because he had a broken arm!

who's playing the other guitar?
@theoriginalmattman3 жыл бұрын
@@rrdream2400 It was Dover. I remember, because he sang the harmonies.

Jason said in an interview that he wasn't there because of the broken arm but it is in fact him playing on the live album as he went into a studio afterwards and laid down his guitar tracks.

@@theoriginalmattman Nico Wenner filled in for Jason when his arm was busted, not Eric Dover. (I was at the Cactus Club show in San Jose when Nico filled in.) Dover didn’t come on the scene til long after Falkner was gone from the band.

They never recorded Hold your head up or Hello... great songs, remind me a little bit of another underrated great band called Enuff z nuff.

I'm pretty sure it's Bogart's not The Roxy, that's what it says on the album. Otherwise quality content!

Roger's gravely voice kind of sounds like Kurt Cobain a little bit. (Mostly at 2:21.)
