I’m celebrating 6 months sober today and watching this video. This is my 2nd run at sobriety. 1st was June 26, 2015 - July 22, 2022. It took me a trip to the hospital that I thought was just another pancreatitis attack that turned into having sepsis and finding out I have a large cystic mass on my left kidney. I decided after I left the hospital that it was time to keep fighting for my life and stay sober. I’m so grateful for 6 months today. I know you hear this all the time. But your music speaks to my soul and many other addicts who feel lonely on the road we walk each day to recovery. Thank you!

It breaks my heart that this is what concerts have come to and we can’t afford to take our kids to see concerts and make awesome memories with them. I hope there is an end to this madness one day. But I am 73 and still alive I did drugs from the time I was 13 and did them for 26 years . At 27 I Od and unalived myself for a bit. I quit drinking at21 . My life’s beautiful now, I have a good man standing beside me, I never had that before and now I can have anything I want. Thank you again

I saw the show at Nebraska Land. I had no idea what to expect as a new fan. It felt like I was there for a healing all through the concert. That concert has changed my thoughts about a lot of things happening today. I am addicted to all his music now. Amazing life stories that his songs are about. I love your music! Im sure you have a huge fan base, I mean I’m 61 years old. I’m so proud of you ( ha ha like I’m your mom ) but for reals you are absolutely an amazing human! You are such an inspiration to all those young/older peeps that need something to inspire themselves to truly understand that old saying “ YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR HEART ON” keep on your beautiful journey, I know a bit about addiction. Long story short I never had an issue with drinking, I got so sad down deep meaning I never let anyone see that. I began nightly to every day all day and function somewhat, I was drinking moonshine like 2 mason jars daily and I’d black out. Usually just woke up in my bed but I guess spoke allot shit to my hubby at the time. But anyway thanks to My Heavenly Father I was able to stop just like that, no DT’s and I can go out and get 1 drink day at a bar with no desire for another. I’m so grateful that I never got in trouble with the law, well I guess I did I was fired from my job the first time ever! My life is getting better I still have to remind myself that I am a badass bitch and I can fly again. Still in progress, I just need to land that good job again and tell myself see you got this Girl. It doesn’t have to be a good job just a job that I love, I love love people so it’s coming along. I guess I can also say you are my inspiration too, 61 year old Nana! Jelly I met a young man yesterday out panhandling for money for a church recovery program in Okc. I first turned him down. He walked off with his head down. As I sat down in my truck, covered in sweat from work and pumping gas, I watched three other people ignore him. I waived him back over and asked him his story. He was so ashamed he couldn’t answer my questions asking about his story. He’s only been sober for a week or two but still struggling HARD! Poor kid didn’t even know how old he was because of years of drug abuse. I gave him every bit of advice/lifting up I could, told Him some of my background, as well as your story and Struggle. Told him to research your story to gain some motivation and strength. It’s only fitting this vlog popped up this morning. I handed him my last 100 dollar bill and told him to put it in his pocket to do good with it, no alcohol/no drugs, if he chose to give some to the church that was his decision! I’ll definitely be looking for him in the next few weeks. I’d love to have your set list, if I find him again for a follow up your set list will be given to him! Keep doing you brother.
