You are right,and everyone knows the super politics of the ESPN firings.Its almost as ledgendary as the network itself. And this goes with all gender and racial lines. If it don't fit there bottom line or you run your mouth,you are out And you can tell the effect that it has on all of them .Because the people go on to more successful venues still be talking about them. Because the pay is great and the lifestyle is wonderful.And many get lulled and spoiled to thinking they are at home with there house shoes on.A lot of them ex ESPN people be making up stuff.They know there contract is ending and not going to be renewed.So they start making up shit like Arsenio Hall.

@rickycouture72243 жыл бұрын
Reading all these comments in support of Mike and Jemele give me so much more hope for the future of our species than anything else I could ever read! Speaking as someone who was introduced to both Mike and Jemele separately, at the beginning of each of their careers at ESPN, I knew from the very first moment that they were special. Jemele being the first person to hold Skip Bayless accountable on First Take and Michael being the first sports junkie to openly embrace all aspects of his personality -- from science-fiction nerd to movie buff to social commentator. From the very beginning, I have never seen either of these two as anything less than excellent. They represent all that's good in the world and His & Hers was the manifestation of that goodness. I can honestly say that I didn't take a single episode for granted, knowing not only what they represented but what importance those conversations had in the grand scheme. They were, and still are, so far ahead of their time. Whether their lives take them in separate directions or not, I will never forget the things they accomplished together. I will also never stop being a fan of the both of them and will support them in everything they do in the future.

Their show was good, but the fan base was marginal. Also, it came on at a less than optimal time. With the right time and fan base it could possibly thrive. But I think they accomplished their goals, intentional and unintentional.
@SoSaysYou3 жыл бұрын
@Johnny Ringo I believe for as much as they could, they were able to be okay with the product they put out. Seems like they were constantly battling the networks perception of what they should be. The glaring issue here is clearly the ESPN and the at least the american world of sports in majority still does not understand and is not ready for certain people openly discussing sports and it's social, economic and political impact on their lives. At that point people have to pause and maybe cringe because they are uncomfortable. The easiest way to deal with being uncomfortable is to just change the channel. Which is ultimately what happened. Accusing them of racism is a big deal. I'm not really sure how they could be.
@SoSaysYou3 жыл бұрын
@Johnny Ringo I wouldn't say these two have anything to do with BLM. BLM is a completely different thing in comparison to these to. BLM is a problem. Mike and jamele are different, not racist, because thats almost impossible for people of their collective in this country. However to them and many like them, sports are viewed differently and ESPN and their viewers are not ready for that viewpoint.
