This video is so spot on. MJs fadeaway was unguardable and so pretty. MJ and Hakeem's transformation from college to a deadly fadeaway jumpshooter and low post beast with moves on top of moves the most stunning I've seen, proving you can still get better at 30 years of age if you put in countless hours of work.

Videos dont lie & stats can be padded/manipulated. ive been watchn NBA since the 90s, there hasnt been an other player that moves the way MJ does, he pushes his whole team & discourages the opposing team mentally, its almost unfair like the other team no matter how good they are there is a feeling in the air that they have already lost playing against Mike, he just had that ora and it was real, 6 for 6 no game 7s & 6 finals mvp, that won't be done again & until then MJ deserve the goat title by far. foh with stats MJ didnt care about stats he cared about winning & championships, yet his all round stats are second to none, if MJ cared about stats he would no have taken 2 years off during his prime. MJ still the undisputed goat 2 decades later...

One of Jordan’s most underrated aspects of his game that is rarely mentioned was his ability to move without the ball. He knew how to find the open pocket for a jumper or move to get the ball in the post. It’s incredibly noticeable in the 1st 3-peat his moving with the ball to give himself open jumpers and lanes to create drives. His movement without the ball is never mentioned when talking about his incredibly skill set.

So on tv fans of other teams would complain he was getting favorable calls, but truth is only real hoopers who play the game know that hacks occur on those fadeaway turnarounds that alter the shot, hence the need to call the foul.

Not to mention the fact that shooting in the mid range today he wouldn't have 4 to 5 guys around him constantly! Team spacing during his era wad pretty much non existent and everyone was packed inside the 3 point line, around the paint and the mid corners smh could only imagine him playing in today's game with players just sitting in the corner 3 spot and and spreading the floor out how freaking dominant Jordan would've been! Everyone talks bout what Jordan would average in today's game with the way teams shoot the 3 now and everyone tries use Jordan being a average to below average 3 shooter against him but its not even Jordan shooting or making more 3s that he would've benefitted from smh no its the treat of others making and shooting more 3s that would've given him even more space to be even better in the mid range and driving to the rim! He already was imo the greatest mid range shooter and scorer of all time and that's with a crowded asf post area lmfao

@@brock2249 Sounds like you don't know your NBA history. MJ could and did at times rain down 3's. Jordan's six first-half 3-pointers in Game 1 of the 1992 NBA Finals set an NBA record. ... He buried the Blazers with a barrage of 3-pointers, a record six in the first half, as the Bulls pulled away. Jordan finished the half with 35 points to set a Finals record and give the Bulls a 66-51 lead at intermission. When you see the famous pictures of Jordan shrugging on the court it was that game after he hit yet another 3. If you had been watching the ESPN documentary "The Last Stand" they are running every Sunday right now you would know about it as they already discussed that game. I remember teaching myself the fadeaway at night at my local park. It's a gorgeous move when executed correctly, and it feels like you're flying and half-spinning at the same time. The one thing for which you're not prepared is the sheer amount of energy it takes - after about 3 of them, you're exhausted - it is a truly taxing move when done correctly. I'm launching about 215 pounds up and backwards, while also asking my legs to accurately vault a 10 pound object towards the basket. I wouldn't be very interested in getting back on defense after executing one. I can only imagine the incredible muscular endurance of an athlete to be able to make this a move throughout an entire game, all with large, NBA-caliber defenders providing a countering-force.

This is one of the best analysis and break down videos of how Michael Jordan transformed the game of basketball. There is no comparison, no valid speech to even consider there is the same level of skills in today's game/players. Jordan was and is the best basketball player and you should not need numbers to prove it, just watch him playing and consider his legacy as best defender, shooter and how he used to engaged other during the game. On any period of his career, what a master he was. He is the player!

He didn’t invent the fadeaway, he simply perfected it. Smooth and effortless….and it wasn’t just his fadeaway. Whether he was taking a jump shot, driving to the basket, or simply dribbling, he made the game look easy (similar to Stephen Curry). Jordan is STILL the only person to dribble up to and dunk from the free throw line….which means he could’ve actually done this durning a real game! 🐐

This is what everyone misses... It ain't the fadeaway that was his killer shot... It was his ability to pull-up or fadeaway at ANYTIME during the dribble... This is why no one could contest his shot.... Cause it came at unexpected times in the dribble... This sounds simple... But what you got to understand is... This meant MJ footwork at ANYTIME during the dribble was in place for him to shoot a jumper... This is not normal.... Defenders rely on watching the offensive players feet... To anticipate the juniper or fadeaway... Defenders can tell with everyone else... When they are not ready to shoot as their feet are not in place to pull up With MJ there was no time during his double when he's not in a position to pull up... This is what Kobe meant, when he said... MJ was technically precise
