@@brock2249 Sounds like you don't know your NBA history. MJ could and did at times rain down 3's. Jordan's six first-half 3-pointers in Game 1 of the 1992 NBA Finals set an NBA record. ... He buried the Blazers with a barrage of 3-pointers, a record six in the first half, as the Bulls pulled away. Jordan finished the half with 35 points to set a Finals record and give the Bulls a 66-51 lead at intermission. When you see the famous pictures of Jordan shrugging on the court it was that game after he hit yet another 3. If you had been watching the ESPN documentary "The Last Stand" they are running every Sunday right now you would know about it as they already discussed that game. It is about The Bulls last Championship season.

I can see MJ take five 3's a game, typically shooting around 35% to 38% and peaking around 40%. If Brook Lopez can adjust his game to become a good volume 3 point shooter, then it's a cinch for a hypercompetitive MJ.

I remember teaching myself the fadeaway at night at my local park. It's a gorgeous move when executed correctly, and it feels like you're flying and half-spinning at the same time. The one thing for which you're not prepared is the sheer amount of energy it takes - after about 3 of them, you're exhausted - it is a truly taxing move when done correctly. I'm launching about 215 pounds up and backwards, while also asking my legs to accurately vault a 10 pound object towards the basket. I wouldn't be very interested in getting back on defense after executing one. I can only imagine the incredible muscular endurance of an athlete to be able to make this a move throughout an entire game, all with large, NBA-caliber defenders providing a countering-force.

This is what everyone misses... It ain't the fadeaway that was his killer shot... It was his ability to pull-up or fadeaway at ANYTIME during the dribble... This is why no one could contest his shot.... Cause it came at unexpected times in the dribble... This sounds simple... But what you got to understand is... This meant MJ footwork at ANYTIME during the dribble was in place for him to shoot a jumper... This is not normal.... Defenders rely on watching the offensive players feet... To anticipate the juniper or fadeaway... Defenders can tell with everyone else... When they are not ready to shoot as their feet are not in place to pull up With MJ there was no time during his double when he's not in a position to pull up... This is what Kobe meant, when he said... MJ was technically precise

Excellent finisher at the rim with either hand, excellent pump fake, post game, mid range game, he can shoot the three ball, can handle the ball coast to coast, solid free throw shooter, just an all around scorer with the basketball. Hes the most efficient offensive player of all time (PER).
@alfarouqaminufor38924 жыл бұрын
@A he wasn't a weak 3pt shooter, he shot 40+% from 3 in the finals multiple times. But I'm not saying it's his strong suit or anything. Probably the weakest compared to other parts of his game. But he can make teams pay.
@AsavageEP4 жыл бұрын
@@alfarouqaminufor3892 He was a weak 3 Point shooter. His numbers, including those in the Finals, were inflated by the 3 Point line being moved in for 3 seasons.

@A Or they act like he had every aspect at once. He was super athletic in his early career but was a poor jump shooter from beyond 12-15 feet. He developed a great midrange game, but by then he had bulked up, grown older and lost athleticism. He was no longer the whirling dervish and super athletic phenom of his youth.
@rochambeau21114 жыл бұрын
@A lol he would rather take a step forward of the line and shoot a 2 instead. He wasn’t a 3pt shooter and if he was, he’d be great at it too

Watching MJ collect the ball and hitting a unexpected fade-away is satisfying
@ill-nois22824 жыл бұрын
Jordan’s fade-away is a thing of beauty. His footwork, balance, form was all in sync to make it a seamless move. MJ has done it so many times he mastered it

SUCH a hard shot. To be able to shoot with accurate pressure while moving backward in the air consistently is awes-inspiring. Every time I try to replicate I the gym its obvious his practiced this forever!

yoooo same fuq'n here lol I try practicing these shots all the time.....Def not easy but it pays off when you have the muscle memory and confidence to hit a few shots in pick-up. It's funny becuase I remember a lot of my fade away shots bc I know I genuinely worked on them for hours. MJ and Kobe has inspired all in this generation

@ddp54064 жыл бұрын
@@dhartley98 he didn't have to, they were able to trade for pippen from the assets they acquired for being a bad team. Lebron consistently carried the cavs to the top of the standings so they always had shitty assets and draft picks on top of Dan Gilbert and the Cavs being one of the worst run organization in league history. Jordans bulls had a losing record in his 3rd season, that is how they got Pippen...Lebrons 3rd season he nearly single handedly toppled the championship caliber pistons taking them to 7 games...when jordan was playing a championship contending team in the playoffs by himself he was getting swept.🤷♂️
