Jen Wilkin gives advice to young women pursuing vocational ministry.

What positions does this seminary/ministry believe that women are equipped for. This is way too short of a clip to discern where you stand. The Bible has the answers for this.

Thank you so much for posting this. So often lately reformed women have been talked about in a way that they’re only worth their home keeping abilities and how many babies I can have. I love the call of ministry I have on my life and am so eager to glorify my God and King with teaching and counseling. You guys are doing good work.

Titus 2: Older women are to teach the younger women to love their husbands, love their children, be discreet and pure, keepers at home, kind, and submissive to their husbands. This is your call of ministry. Love your children and be a homemaker.

I'd love to see the gender breakdown of those disliking this video. The only ministry position that is expressly unavailable to women is pastor and deacon. Those trying to broaden that scope to any leadership positions run countary to Scripture, ignore historical church practices, and simply exacerbate the problems of sexism in the conservative church movement.

Don't assume that women don't disagree also. If anything, her definitions are vague and can cause confusion

Now you are not saying a woman should be a pastor? The Bible says a woman should not pastor a church. A women can teach and lead other woman, but not be a pastor.. I hope this is not what you are trying to say in this video. I know it was only 3 mins, so I am not going to jump to conclusions.. but would love to hear the whole conversation in this.

Titus 2: 3-5 Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.

@@JosephSpurgeonMinistries None of the scripture you quoted is being contradicted here. "Teaching what is good", women should be prepared to know how to teach what is good to other women. She is also nowhere mentioning that women should exercise authority or teach men.

I watched the video. We are seeing a push to place women in leadership in the church but this is not the teaching of scripture. Women can certainly serve God and older women are very important in instructing the younger women. But this modern notion being pushed on the back of #metoo is that churches need women in leadership positions. Jen specifically mentions leadership positions and vocational ministry in the church and then says the church needs to develop qualifications for this position for women. She then says women need to be qualified "according to the qualifications we find in Scripture for those who are called to lead." Well who does scripture say is qualified to lead in the church? Why would the church need to develop qualifications for these positions? If they were legitimate, the scriptures would have outlined qualifications.
