@@strangelaw6384 The many “Qurans” part is wrong. The Quran was revealed in 7 Arabic ahruf (dialects). and the meaning of the Quran is the same between them all. Question to the prof: was there any major event regarding the Quran in Egypt in 1920s? If so, could you create a video on this and post some resources. I heard, but don't remember where or when, that the Quran today is a result of all other Qurans being destroyed in Egypt at that time. True?
@slightlyopinionated8107
@slightlyopinionated8107 3 ай бұрын
There was. In the past the Quran was made to accommodate most recitations but with printing press being cheaper to stick with one recitation, they made the Quran specifically to accommodate the Hafs recitation as it was the recitation taught to ottoman emperors. North Africa uses warsh recitation and other countries use other recitations as well but most Quran reciters know at least 4 or 5 styles of recitations

Teacher. Why do my brothers not like me? Since Abraham’s impatient act which led to the separation of half brothers, they have chosen to curse me. In fact, I have seen that they will accept Gentiles before accepting us. Is there a way that we can come together as siblings from the same father or are we destined to live through the revelation in two different households? I see that the way forward is mending these bonds, so far, an impossible task.

@@slightlyopinionated8107 show me 50 of those 1,000 times. You can't because Islam is not a real religion. It's a cult and there are no Muslims prior to the the 6 th century, just Arabs. What's great is the amount of "Muslims" finding out the truth and turning to Jesus for their salvation. Have a great day

Why was it memorised? It doesn't make sense because they had materials to write it down and preserve it. We have no manuscripts dating before uthaman days which is around 130 or 240 years after Mohamad's death. That's why you have to pull an argument that it was memorised.
@bamzerdaniel1997

@@0xgodson119 paper wasn’t that much available, memorising the quran is a common practise throughout the world. I have few of my family members who memorised it too and there are millions of people who memorise it around the world(they are called hafiz). The Quran is memorised because it is recited during prayers (we do that today too). The Quran is made to be memorised as even the word Quran originates from the word “the recited”. There were 100s of companions of the prophet who memorised it. There are manuscripts during Othman’s time and even during the prophets time (the Birmingham manuscript) and they still match the Quran today.

Memorization is a stronger standard for maintaining scripture than writing. There are many reasons for this that I can explain if interested but a quick example would be the lost letters of Paul or the exegesis additions that were added to the Bible even though they haven’t been part of it such as the three heavenly or apocrypha that was added such as the various times scripture is quoted yet in the New Testament yet the source cannot be found in the Old Testament but rather in apocryphal sources.

@@slightlyopinionated8107The NT never quotes the apocrypha, Catholics who believe in the ‘apocrypha’ admit this. It might make allusions, but not quotations. The only book that does is Jude, but it’s well known in biblical studies quoting something (and especially allusions) does not automatically equal inspiration. It’s actually the Quran that tells apocryphal stories never belonging to the Bible. Dr Shabir Ally has admitted this. So has Bart Ehrman.

@@Sahih_al-Bukhari_2658 the bible quotes apocrypha multiple times and a quick google search would've shown that. You even have additions to the Old Testament that the Jews do not accept as scripture. You also didn't say anything regarding the lost letters of Paul or the trinitarian attempt to place the doctrine in there with the three heavenly witnesses verse

Scholars have and do make such videos. The Bible was written over thousands of years in different languages by numerous authors spread out geographically and is still a unified story that makes sense and is supported by archeological and non-Christian historical sources. Only the Spirit of a mighty God could do that.

@@bnk4149 Why do you think that the Bible MUST be a unified story though?
@bnk4149
@bnk4149 3 ай бұрын
It’s not that it must-it just is. I invite us all (self included) to examine it. For instance, Psalm 22, written by King David under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit speaks of Christ’s crucifixion although it happened 1,000 years later and the practice of crucifixion had not yet been invented by the Persians (or at least perfected by them). Yet the Christ spoke the words of David when He hung in the cross, recalling the Psalm and indicating He was the fulfillment of it, “My God, my God…” After studying the New Testament then reading the Bible through from the beginning, it’s easy to see Jesus everywhere. Everything points to Him as the Christ, the Lord and Savior of the world. Shalom!

@@bnk4149 Even then, the Bible is simply a story to me. Jacob/Israel, Moses, King David, ...These are characters of God's story, who lived in the distant past. I read the Bible like a newspaper or science magazine. Yes, happy, exciting news. Hopeful future. Terrifying challenges but also the Hand that guides us through. God's followers triumph over and over again. But it's all so very distant, somehow. I can't HEAR God.

I think that can be normal-I had to fight to love the Word of God and ask for God’s help to bring it alive to me. I used to fall asleep but confessed to God I found the Word boring and dense. And it is dense-the treasures are endless. At any rate, after asking that He’d help me love and understand His Word, I can assure you He answered my prayer. I still have to commit myself to it because it doesn’t read as easily as uninspired works of man, but it is SO RICH! There’s an answer for whatever ails us. We also learn so much about the character and nature of God, Who loves us without end although He doesn’t have to. I find listening to an audio Bible very helpful. I’ll listen to the same book multiple times and then read it, and the Holy Spirit will give me revelation. He’ll do the same for you!

Facial expressions don’t determine truth. Someone could simply say “not knowing how to spell LYING, shows that a person is lying” These are terrible reasons. This is a weak, fallacious argument at best. Explain why he is wrong and maybe you’ll get traction.
