👋 professional stylist here. You’re great! Also thinking about the condition of your hair, something that might help between the first and second process. Instead of doing 40 and then washing it and waiting a day, try doing your first round (try 30, have to say it hahaha) and then instead of washing it out, wipe it off. Reapply immediately (before shampoo) with a *lower volume* than you started with. If your hair is already in the bleaching phase, all you’re doing is continuing the process. Part of why it’s so hard on your hair is the initial push to start bleaching it. 40 volume is really aggressive because it’s like BAM at the beginning (so that it can raise the pH of your hair and open up your cuticle) and then chills out, so if you do 3 applications with 40 you’re basically punching your hair in the face 3 times. If you wipe and reapply with a lower volume, it’s one punch. I hope that makes sense. If you do try this, when you reapply check your hair every 10 minutes. If it seems like it isn’t getting lighter then it isn’t going to and then you know to wash and proceed as normal. Hope this helps, either way as long as you’re happy and your hair is doing what you want! 🖤🖤🖤

Makes sense thank you... I'm dark with red undertones. What should I do to go either ash blonde or a warm blonde?? Should I do as you stated or what volume should I use first; and should I use a bleach or not??? I hope you answer thank you..

There is a permanent color by ion available only at sally beauty stores called lavender moon. You mix it 1:1 ratio with 20-30 volume peroxide after you have bleached to a level 9 or 10 and your hair will tone to a beautiful icy white. It has just enough lavender/purple/blue tint to it, that it takes that brassy yellow right out and leaves your head like a snow ball. I love mixing it with olaplex to give my hair back some love after I bleach it from my natural black to no yellow white ♥️ I shave it every 5-6 weeks so I have to color it just as often or I look like a Dalmatian! Great video, thank you for telling people to hurry with the application but go slow with the process so they don’t fry up their hair and or scalp. You are very sweet and beautiful and I’m sure that you look amazing in all colors, but that white is stunning 🥰❤️❄️

So far I am at step 1 followed what you said to the letter, and it came out just like you said. I can't wait until tomorrow to follow step 2. Thank you so much for the video you are getting me to change the color of my hair from black/salt and pepper to the color I have dreamed of having. Thank you for mentioning diluting the purple shampoo; I had not seen any other white hair tutorials do that! I have naturally ash blonde hair, so it lightens to yellow pretty fast, which means I tried to use the purple shampoo (same brand - Clairol Shimmer Lights) right away on an almost-matching human sample of ash blonde hair... I could not get the purple out of that sample. I wouldn't have thought to dilute it, I thought I'd just wasted money on bad purple shampoo lol. It's great to know I can still get my money's worth, and only have to use half the amount!

2:04 *Products* L’Oreal Quick Blue, SalonCare 40 Volume, Shimmering Lights Shampoo Blonde and Sheer, Spooling Brush, Processing Cap 2:18 Products linked in description 2:20 It takes three times of lifting the hair to make it white. That’s why it’s more economical to use half the quick blue pack and cream developer pack. 2:40 Mix together to a yogurt-y consistency and apply. 3:00 Be sure not to do anything to agitate your scalp. Otherwise the dye will BURN 🔥 like a relaxer. 3:22 Apply everything evenly within 5 minutes. So that your scalp will not burn. 3:42 Also do not neglect behind your ears. 4:00 Put processing cap on immediately after finishing. Process for 50 minutes so that the scalp does not burn. 4:16 After the 50 minutes, wash with the purple shampoo. And then deep condition the hair. 4:25 Dilute the purple shampoo especially with lighter colors like white and platinum blonde. Otherwise the shampoo will stain the hair purple instead of pulling the brassiness/yellowness out like it’s supposed to. 5:29 Instead of dyeing it back to back, I now wash out with the purple shampoo, deep condition it, then leave it alone for 24 hours. For the hair’s health. 5:50 *Look: A Brassy Yellow* After 24 hours the hair looks very yellow and brassy, which is where the purple shampoo comes in. It will take the brassiness out. The more you wash with it, the more it takes the yellowness out. 6:19 Then repeat the process. Use the other half of the quick blue powder and developer. Mix it up and apply. Put the cap on. Set for 50 minutes. 6:43 This time washing it out, add conditioner. 6:50 *Look: Really Pretty Platinum Blonde* Not white yet. 7:16 Personally: Wait a week to two weeks after the 2nd dye. In that time, the hair is getting conditioned and taken care of. 7:41 Then, dye it a third time. Same exact process. That will lift all the way to white. 7:59 *Look: Icy White* 8:00 🔑 🚨 MAJOR KEY ALERT 🚨 🔑 **the new growth hair lifted to yellow, but was getting washed with the purple shampoo. The new growth is peeking through. 11:47 Don’t wait a whole week, wait 3-4 days before dyeing it again so that the new growth gets lifted.

@sarahm.2 жыл бұрын
Just one question at the end on the new growth , do you also dye it 3 times like you had to dye the old growth 3 times? Or just once because the purple shampoo had already helped it to just be yellow? Also can you dye grey hair white by dying it blonde first? By doing the same as you have done here. It's looks absolutely fabulous 🤩😍 darling.

I’m a licensed professional and you never process your hair for five days you are supposed to process your hair within 72 hours anything after 72 hours needs to wait a full two weeks so if you want to continue lifting your hair in one day you can do so but the healthiest way is to do this color is over the span of three days anything after the 72 hours Will cause too much damageAnd your hair may not fall out the same day but I guarantee by the end of the year you won’t have your hair remember 72 hours that’s it

Great video. Just finished round 1... It's hard to find a video with actually measurements - the eyeballing and yogurt or pudding consistency freaked me out especially since last time I did it - I burned my hair off to patches. So yeah - ya girl needed measurements. So.... I used Clairol BW2 Bleach and Super Star 40v ... I matched measurements as mentioned (1/2 powder is .5 oz & 1/2 bottle 2 oz), which is 1 Tbsp Bleach Powder to 4 Tbsp Developer. Love the step by step and hoping for the best. Also I used coconut oil all over my scalp and edges and was able to tolerate the bleaching - I have a low fade (type 4b hair... if we doing types). Thanks Queen! I hope the measurements helps someone out there ❤

I used the same products, only difference is I use the 50 volume. I left my bleach in for 2 hours! I rinsed with the shimmering lights 3 times, letting the 2nd & 3rd shampoos stay in 10 minutes each. I got my white hair! Thanks for the video 😍😍
