This is really helpful. Thank you. I’ve been considering buying a vMount rig for my camera and this video is very persuasive.

I've had one for a couple of month now and its a very solid battery. I've had a setup where I powered my FX3 (USB-C) + Monitor (D-Tap) + Wireless mic receiver (USB-A) and it just worked. I can also use the USB-PD + cable I already had to power my FX3 from the wall to charge it! They're really small too. The only thing for me is the D-Tap orientation, which makes the butt of the cable come over the usb-c port (as seen at 14:37). Makes me a little uneasy each time to force against the port/cable to plug both. I tried an angled USB cable, but even that sits too high.

Rad! My solution for this which was unmentioned here is a vmount power plate from IDX- I can plug direct to dtap on there and have the right angles It also means I’m not unplugging my cables from each battery every time I swap haha Also that situation was unfavorable haha- we had it on a tripod so I wasn’t worried! Picked up the mutiny KX I/O so no more cables into batteries on my KX now haha

Looks like a solid update to the original Core Nano! Wish they would have flipped the orientation of the DTap port. Most DTap cables terminate to the left hand side and I could see that interfering with the USB PD port. I like that they have included a 1/4"-20 mounting option, but it looks like that means the V-Lock mechanism only has half the distance to lock down the battery compared to normal, has this caused any issues for you?

I've been rocking the SmallRig VB99 batteries for my FX3, but the CoreSWX ones were in contention. I also still find the SWX TorchLED panel lights helpful in a pinch (RIP).

Would it be possible to plug the 45 watt PD wall charger directly into the fx3 from a wall outlet?

I haven’t looked at the specs but I would recommend looking into that! I personally wouldn’t haha, but I’m usually extremely careful about power / media

Hey man, long time owner of the small rig v mounts here. I do the c too c to trickle charge my fx3 but more times then not it will sometimes have to be replugged, is that an issues on these? If not I could see this being a better system for my workflow
