Brilliant sortie, well done man! Man, the last week or so I've been doing shallow climbs (10 degrees), you know to keep the speed up, than maybe bump it to 15 degrees while keeping speed. I'm telling you, the height plus the distance traveled catchers many people off guard giving me the advantage. Its made the sorties of the last week interesting and fun again.

I've always found the ShVAKs too inconsistent to take seriously. That's why I always prefer the Yaks due to the Berezins which are much more reliable especially with Ground target belts.

Great vid as usual Jengar! Keeping my interest in air RB (which is no easy task with all these crappy jet obsessed players these days) I'd live to see another, updated review of Dolgulshins LA 7 (which is my all time favourite video uf yours). This plane was pretty much ruined but I took it out the other day and it seemed a bit better. Hope you'll consider it? Keep up the good work m8 !

ShVAC Canons seem to work ok here. I heard something claiming they were low velocity so maybe have more drop than normal.

their okay i agree, thing is though they used to be my 2nd favorite guns ingame after the MG151 20mm's. They were too powerfull back then.

played 3 games, spaded it within those games, fell in love...simple as that edit: mind you I did have premi but still edit 2: my only problem with it is that it gets really stiff above like 280 mph(450kph) meaning that it can't turn at high speeds well

Great video as always. La5s have only 2 problems that didn’t make them very enjoyable when i played them (i got like only 1.4 k/d in the fn, and 1.5 in the other 2): 1st problem are teams half made of useless il2s (vs full fighters japanese teams) and the 2nd problem are Shvaks... i hate those cannons (tough i love the b-20s cannons)

Another great vid sir. I have used the bomb load on the LA 5 in tank battles. I always try to run a fighter with bomb capability and an attacker in my tank lineup. I do have a question about climb speed. Do you climb at optimum speed for each plane or a generic speed for all? I've always wondered about your approach to this. Thanks for the review and hope life is going well sir.

I try to adjust per plane, usually thats between 230-280. Depending on the plane.

I feel like I dunk on all the la-5s in any of the 109fs. Weird though because being one of the few Soviet planes I bother to fly, it's pretty well rounded and nice to fly. Ugly as hell though

La-5 is not bad, imo it's a jack of all trades plane that dosen't do anything particularly well. (as far as the first one goes anyways) I've been flying it a lot lately, and it can be really fun to do well in. Overall an alright plane. But I'd say the better choice of russian plane at 3.0 would be the Yak-1B

Its a fucking shit plane cant out dive zero in latest update and cant fight spits and f4u either
