I got a bit of a theory why Arceus doesn't talk or whatnot. He says he's giving you a piece of him so he can walk by your side in the world so I guess we don't have the REAL Arceus, just a part he cloned of himself.

@Mr. Terumi The Arceus you catch never speaks, it just makes Pokemon cries. The Arceus that speaks is the one that challenges you, which is a different entity since you can pit them against each other in the rematch (and presumably the Eternal Battle Reverie too)

The Legend Plate prioritizes the primary type when choosing which type to transform into, but there’s a 4x weakness, it’ll go for that. As for what specific type it’ll turn into… it’s random.

Not entirely random just, I hear claims it picks what type is somewhat the best for the moveset the enemy has. In the event that it'll survive the super effective damage it makes sure whatever type it turns into isn't weak to whatever the Pokemon uses as a follow up.

For some reason Arceus chose to switch types once for me in one of my unsuccessful runs, it became a fire type to send my lucario to the distortion world, but after that never again even when I brought back out the same lucario, it kept going for extrasensory and hyper beam, hell I thought it was gonna switch to a ghost or dark type for my typhlosion but it never did.

Shit, take a shot every time he does Spacial Rend entirely correctly seeing the four orbs and stunning him and then sees Roar of Time with the same orbs but blue and completly fucking forgets how his throwing arm works and wonders why he keeps getting hit by something that's unblockable. If only there was a mechanic of stunning bosses that's telegraphed by floating orbs that the boss already used and so did like half the other ones in the game lol and half the time he'll throw orbs at the fake ones and then never even attempt to try and throw and the stunnable part

For anyone who gets to this fight, when Arceus is doing the pulsing wave on the ground hold L2 to lock onto Arceus and roll to the left or right and then hold R2 to charge your throw and you can use that more effectively to not only dodge those attacks but to also get a lot of throws and damage in

I actually didn't know Arceus could change types mid battle. The only time I sent my Pokemon out to fight him I used Giratina and then quick switched to Lucario to finish the job when Giratina wasn't doing much. So he was a normal type the whole time.

He could normally only be of 1 type, which changed depending on which plate he was carrying. While this is still true, in Legends they introduced this Legendary Plate, which makes Judgement (and Arceus' type) become the best against the pokemon he is fighting, which... Makes so this is probably the best Arceus has ever been-

@@pkmasterjt4899 It’s more PS2 than N64 and again there’s more concerning problems than Graphical Optimization. Biggest issue is the horrendous story pacing, the lack of world building, and the one-sided battle system. Battling in this game is so unfun late game as you basically die to anything and kill anything so you’re not encouraged to fight cause you’re just gonna waste revives and heals. Plus a lot of the game suffers from deja vu where map layouts are so samey it’s hard to see what’s new and what’s old without spamming the map function

Tbf, Drace Meteor is a viable move that Garchomp can run, since it's such high base power, stab, and lowers a stat that Garchomp doesn't really care about

@@LoinkLoink oh, i know. however, they made so many changes to this game where i think that Draco Meteor isn't as viable, specially on a physically focused Garchomp. since Draco has a lower base power and there's no held items, the attack just isn't as strong. and Outrage was also nerfed, but Shofu refused to use Earth Power cause it was special while Bulldoze is physical, with a 20 base power difference, while he had a 110 base power Draco and a 90/95 (i don't remember which) base power Outrage, another 20 base power difference... what i'm trying to say is that that's very ironic. oh, and also, Draco doesn't just lower sp atk in this game, it lowers both offensive stats

Definitely AG tier, a free 2-4x weak hit on everything, with extremespeed and _any_ standard buffing moves, would put arceus right next to mega rayquaza as far as "busted" status goes. Especially since the type change would mean that arceus would effectively have no "super effective" counterplay that could be planned for, so long as the opponent has 2 or more types they're weak to.

Outrage is 180 power with stab and Draco meteor is 195 power with stab. Garchomp has 130 base physical attack and 80 special attack meaning if your garchomp has same levels in attack/special attack (EVs in other games) and with no IVs, outrage should do more damage than Draco
