@@briodiz4772: This is different. Keep in mind, people trusted their politicians without checking voting records, it is so different than we expected. The WW2 generation were moderates and pretty much kept tabs on the government. But 1980's/1990's changed the entire structure with the introduction of the Internet. The problem for the People were that mainstream media was our main source of information & had rules of impartiality that used to be followed (for the most part). We didn't know till last month that our votes were being handled by a foreign company. In hindsight, there is much information cause we know more what to look for & people are posting about these things.

@@harryn2304 indeed. Like the good book says, man rules over man to his own hurt. It’s the human condition because our ancestors, Adam and Eve rebelled against God. Whether people believe the Bible or not, it can’t be denied that the human condition is full of rebellion to authority and evil deeds upon our fellow man for greed and power. This cycle of humans is about to come to an end because we will destroy each other the way we have done for centuries. Jenna, I watched you grow. I have been in that building. I understand your emotions. I am a naturalized citizen for 25 years from India. Even India we study about American Independence. In fact Indian constitution was modelled after American constitution. We always thought of DC as a shiny city on the hill. So 35 years ago when I arrived newly to this country first thing I wanted to do was visit the Mall. I went to see the The Capital, the Lincoln memorial, then Vietnam memorial, the last thing was the Jefferson memorial. It was a beautiful late spring day, the sun was setting there was a rosy hue in the sky. Reading through the words on the wall I felt a constrction in my throat, tears welled up in my eyes! I was not a citizen yet, I was a bit embarrassed that others may see it, so I hid behind one of those lofty pillars! I think it was combination of my childhood reading, movies like Mr. Smith goes to Washington etc. You are right, it is hard to imagine such lofty places treated with disrespect!

This is our country now! !I am not slamming Jenna, but this is the south! This is how it is in Florida. We elected common fricking criminals to be governor and state senators. Animal House should never have been removed from school curriculums! History has got to be emphasized more in our society, not just STEM. Real history, both perspectives, not some white=washed version of it. Our government needs to be cleaned up. People are becoming disenfranchised more every day. History shows what happens when "the people" have had enough! Why can't we address these issues reasonably? Such inevitable foolishness and glaring double standards!

But there were already slaves since the beginning of time, so it's impossible for Africans to sell anything to anyone. By the way, American land was discovered 500 years before Columbus, and Columbus was an Italian immigrant from Spain he was not a white man. Let that sink in your brain.
