The incredible part is Jenna may not have been considered for the Wednesday role and been the current "it" girl if not for Netlfix making the decision to cast the Addams family as Hispanic. When Hollywood ignores the existence of a large swath of the population, they're also denying them the opportunity to showcase their talent. There are around 65 million Latinos in the US, accounting for around 20% of the population, yet they're by far the most underrepresented of any group by being cast in only around 5% of TV and film roles-- and oftentimes those few roles are minor and/or reinforce negative stereotypes.
