I never heard or thought of lean muscle as being responsible for metabolism. That makes so much sense! Also never heard of a refeed day. I have hit that plateau before and had no idea what to do and gave up for 6 months. Of course, then I had to start all over again. Thanks so much for this info!

Hey! Yes, it really is such an important part. So many people don’t understand this and view muscle building the complete wrong way. I’m glad I was able to switch a light on for you 😀💗💡

I lost almost 4 lbs over the last 3 weeks. Also I noticed that when I'm losing lbs, it is not a straight drop. It's up and down. I eat pretty healthy anyway, so I'm usually in a calorie deficit anyway when I use a calorie counter app. Otherwise, I have no clue and over eat. All of your advice is excellent. ( I can't actually excersise right now except walking due to a medical issue) but your channel helps. thank you.

Thank you so much Jenna for this info. I have one question… once I hit the plateau stage for at least two consecutive weeks or more, the refeed day is one or two days?
@JennaCollinsFitness Жыл бұрын
You’re welcome! One day is sufficient 😀

Consistency. U said it. I heard it. Totally understand Now for the hard part. Doing it. Keeping fit is a lifestyle. One I adhere to but seeing results or lack thereof is the great motivator/demotivator. At 74 its just difficult. Staying motivated is the hardest aspect Any thoughts on methods

I am in wheelchair. Can you make a video for sitting person to loose weight especially from belly please?
@JennaCollinsFitness8 күн бұрын
Hey! I have some seated Ab workouts. However, exercise shouldn’t be your only focus, your main focus needs to be your diet. You need to consume less calories than you burn to lose fat.

Hey. It’s difficult for me to give you personalised advice without knowing exactly what you’re doing on a daily basis, nutrition and exercise wise. Take a look at this video because it might help give you some insight into what could be causing a plateau - kzbin.info/www/bejne/noWTq4SMZc2Yecksi=cJjT1CQfbUeTowxu

Should I be increasing hand weights continually or stop at a certain weight
@JennaCollinsFitness Жыл бұрын
Hey. Yea you should increase them as you gain strength and progress. It’s also good to switch it up, for example heavier weights with less reps and lighter weights with higher reps.
