My daughter is starting her senior year and I’m trying to keep it together, but I’m right there with you in the thick of “what next?!” It’s so exciting to see her growing and chasing her dreams, but after living so many years in survival mode and focusing on building her future, now that it’s here, I don’t even know what I want for my own. I haven’t thought of my interests etc in so long, there just weren’t enough hours in the day. I suppose that’s the next adventure!I’m also with you on the dating thing. I like that you take your time finding a relationship. After a lot of messed up relationships I quit dating in my late 20s. Eventually I met my husband and the feelings were so strong I literally can't imagine not having him in my life. We married when I was 35 and now it's been 2 years. I have zero regrets that I got married later in life. We skipped having kids altogether but you've already done that so you're literally missing nothing! When you feel that connection you will definitely know.

The whole ending of this video reminded me of the music video for one of my favorite kpop bands lol. At the end of the video they pan out to a wall that says "Do your best" and grafittied over it is "But maybe not sometimes." We're so wired to always have a plan, to always be ready, to always do our best that we forget we are humans. Like, hearing you talk about your experience as a 14 year old mom, I can only imagine all the verbal and emotional abuse that came from your surroundings, likely mostly from strangers that had nothing to do with your life. Survival mode is 100% the correct term to use. You survived Jennica 🥹. I have absolutely no right to be proud of you, but I am? I hope you remember that this is your first time living this life, too. Take time for yourself. If you want to do nothing, then so nothing. I think you've been doing your best for a looooong time. This might just be your "maybe not sometimes" moment.

I think SOOOO many of us girlies in our early 30s can resonate with you on the dating thing. Im 34 and Ive been saying since I was 31-32 that I would be soooo content and happy to be single up till my 50s. These men just are not coming close to cutting it for me, I'm so happy to be alone and to be with friends (and for you having a BFF daughter even adds to that equation!!), I literally hate sleeping in the same bed as any other person and I just wanna do what I wanna do 24/7 so why even bother with men at this point???
